"That's right," I replied back to Bertolt.
"Then you know how terrifying the titans are," he said looking down at his feet. I sat back down and listened carefully.
"So why do you want to be soldiers?" He asked.
Eren and I looked at each other in a hesitant look. "Well......" I started. Eren cut me off, "Unlike other people that join this camp for social attention, I want to kill all the titans that live in this world." He said.
Bertolt and Reiner had shocked expressions for a while but returned back to their normal faces. "I see," Reiner said.
"So why are you guys joining the camp?" I asked them back.
"Reiner and I come from a small mountain village in the south east part of wall Maria," Bertolt replied with a sullen face.
It pricked me like a needle. "But isn't that where........"
"Yes, that's right, we didn't get the word of breech in time, the titans came." Bertolt said.
Bertolt made a sullen face again and knit his eye brows together, " It was around dawn, and the live stock were making a lot of noise. And big tremors got bigger and bigger, I got up and opened the window then........." He stopped and hesitated. I understood what he was going through.
We walked around the bush after, carrying lamps and talking.
"The people who are here are just coming for attention, even people scold twelve year olds that work in factories and they call them cowards, that's why people come here instead." Bertolt said.
"I came to live in the interior," he continued. I nodded and said, " There's nothing wrong with valuing your own life," I said as I stepped over a several barbed wires.
"As for me, I want to return to my home town, no matter what," Reiner said with a determined look. I gulped.

We walked upon a rocky ledge as the moon started to seep out of the clouds, glistening the nearby pine trees and lighting up all the features of the lake, a scenery was right before us. " Just start from the top and you'll be okay," Reiner said grinning at Eren.
