CH27: Trost

~Marisa~

I breathed in the fresh air.

I hate my-self.
I stretched and yawned while manning up the canons.

I turned around to see the others on the wall.
Despite saying they we're going to join other fields they actually decided to stay with recon corps.

"I thought guys were going to join the Military Police," Eren asked, making Connie's eyes roll out of his head.

Several other of my friends were smirking and preparing the canons as well.

Why is every one here?
"Marisa isn't this great?" Kodia suddenly jumped onto me and my neck nearly fractured. She giggled and kept her arms around my neck while I struggled to keep balance.

"Well first of all I would like to say that I felt like joining the survey corps," Jean piped up doing a little smug talk.

I was confused a first.

"Yah I felt like it as well."

"I didn't join because of that speech you made Eren,"

"Yah me too....."

They all said one by one not looking at my face.

Kodia turned to Eren and gave him a smug look. She walked over to him and head locked him,

"Good work Eren," She said and smiled sarcastically.

"GUYS!" A familiar voice piped up while running towards us. It was Sasha, it looked like she was hiding something under her jacket.

She protruded a sack of meat to show us. " I stole this from the food shed, maybe we can eat this later!" She said with saliva dripping out of her mouth as she put the meat into a box.

"Sasha did you steal it? But Instructor Keith will kill you!" I asked.

"Nah it's okay, if we don't tell they'll never know. Unless you guys want it, but if you don't, I'll eat it all," Sasha said as she closed the lid.

Silence was filled in the air for a few seconds.

I then piped up, "You better give me some if you want the secret to be kept,"

Soon after every one was complaining about wanting one and scolding Sasha.

Kodia was the first to push through every one and grab Sasha by the shoulders, saliva dripping down her chin as she had not had proper meat for ages.
Every one tried to pry her away while they all laughed.

I smiled to my self, will the days get better? Or not?

But if of course it didn't, I just expected too much.

Suddenly a thunder like sound boomed through out the town. In an instant following the sound, something rose in front of me, from all the steam.
In front of me stood the Colossal Titan.

My eyes went wide as it wiped out the canons, sending us flying through the air.

Every thing around me swirled like a tornado, I just saw it.
I was frozen, this was the creature that I feared I'd see again. The one that killed my sister, and all those innocent civilians, not directly, however but rather was the one who let the other Titans in.
Fear ran through my head as I fell.

"Every one! Counter attack!" Eren shouted and ran up the wall with anger burning in his eyes.

I regained my composure all of a sudden and released my books into the wall. I stood there vertically as I shouted at Eren.
"EREN STOP WHAT ARE YOU DOING??"
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Kodia running up the walls as well, determination filled her eyes.
"Kodia what-" before I could finish some one suddenly slammed into me seconds before a huge piece of debris fell in the exact spot I stood on.
I couldn't believe I nearly got taken out so easily.

"Damnit Marisa you could've gotten your self killed!" Jean said to me as we both dangled on metal wires.
"I'm sorry...I didn't see what was happening,"

As I planted my foot down onto the wall a searing pain shot up my ankle and I flinched.

"Whats wrong?"

"I must've hurt my ankle somewhere-"

I could see the shadow of more debris coming off the walls, before Jean could react I ignored the pain in my ankle and pushed him down.
A piece of concrete fell onto the back of my head and I nearly lost conscious.
The world was swirling round and round me. Colours swept past my vision as I hurtled towards the ground. The searing pain in my ankle felt like nothing, because I was in free fall.
I fell down the wall, every thing rushed past me, what........am I going to splatter into the grass like a grease stain?

My vision started to whiten as my ears blocked out the sound of wind rushing past.

Suddenly someone caught me and we had landed onto the ground.

"Marisa! Are you okay?" A muffled shouted over the whistling wind. I tried to say something but my mouth wouldn't move, so I just was still staring up at the face with a blank expression.

"Marisa! Can you hear me!" The voice shouted again.

"Marisa! Armin get help......Mikasa get the instructor....." The muffled voices shouted.
