ONWARDS WITH THE STORY!!!

I can't say I know why I picked it up.
I know why certain people think I did, and others don't even know about it.
But I couldn't tell anyone why I really did pick it up.
Or why I didn't tell Star.
People, Mewnman, Monsters; they'll all give their own opinion to each other about why I did what I did.

So as I put on my black tshirt and a pair of shorts, I stare at it and I can feel it staring back. Like two green eyes glowing back at me, whispering to me. It lies there, limp on my bed and my mind becomes numb before it and I take a step towards it.
"It looks so much different then Star's wand." I mumble to myself. It was two a.m. on a Thursday night, no one's awake. And even if they were my room was pitch black; the door shut, the window curtains drawn, my covers pulls back.
I take another step towards it, one more and I could grab it easily.
I hold my arms, I should go wake up Star and tell her I have it. It could fix her's. I mean, her's was seriously messed up today, slamming me into that closet and stuff. And I guess this would help fix it, finishing the whole star.
I take another step
It looks kinda dangerous I guess, the green is intense and scary. Maybe it wouldn't help fix Star's, maybe it would corrupt hers! It does have a menacing green light to it. That light. It stained my mind, reminding me of that stuck in life dream I had. I remember vaguely climbing out of a green hole, glowing like this.
Weird.
I notice suddenly I'm holding it and I let out a small shriek, but I don't drop it. The green lights up my face in the complete darkness of my room. I wave it slowly around and the light leaves a small trail as I do. I flip it over but the green glow, my only source of light, is pointed away so I can't figure out what's on the back. From what I noticed when I grabbed it, it was just a skeleton hand.
Creepy.
I wave it around a little more, but I didn't feel anything but peril. The feeling of having this in my own hand seemed so threatening, it scared me to almost death. My chest felt heavy, my eyes felt week and my mind felt like it was a raft in the middle of a lake.
Almost totally still, just waiting for a current to come and guid it along.
My hand gets so sweaty that my mouth grows dry and my throat feels like sand on top of a dune. As my stomach churns, I drop it on the bed and all the feelings fade away. As I run my fingers through my healthy mass of brown hair, my tan skin retracts from the paleness it was before. I decided to put my wand under my pillow and I lie down on top of it. I flip to my back and stare into the darkness until the bags under my eyes pull them closed and my brain flickers away from reality.

"I have to go." Star says sadly as she puts away her phone. I look up, my legs dangling over the side of a mass of wall that survived the destroying of Ludo's castle. It was bleak here, the clouds swirling green and black. I held my arm, the one that was stuck in the crystal trap I was in. It hurt, a small red line that resembled that thing you get when you have a tight rubber band on your wrist was imprinted on it.
"Why?" I ask, our eyes meet.
She smiles slightly. "My mom wants to talk to me about the whole..." Fear slides over her blue eyes. "...you know... Destroying my wand thing. She wants to know about Toffee and such."
"Ah." I nod and I jump off the rock. "Shall we go?"
She sighs in defeat. "But we didn't find anything. I mean seriously not a single thing turned up."
"I could stay behind." I shrug casually. "Ya know... Look for clues."
She smiles. "You wanna?"
I nod. "Sure why not."
"Cool thanks!" She laughs and cuts a portal to Earth. As she tosses me the scissors, I jump away and don't even try to catch them.
"Star!" I scream and pick them up.
"Sorry safe kid!" She laughs and goes through the portal.
My face turns red. "I'm NOT a safe kid!" I can hear her still snickering as the portal closes with a thump. I push my mouth to one side of my face. "Clues. Clues. Clues? Clues... Clues." I pace around the base of the shattered castle and kicked rocks as I do. As I twirl the scissors on my fingers, it's only like a minute until I give up and lift my scissors to cut back to Earth.
"Marco?" Someone calls. I flip around, the voice was light and melodic. It froze the blood in my veins though, fear striking through my heart.
"Yeah?" I call back like an idiot.
"Marco?" The person calls again, it sounds like a girl.
"Yeah!?" I shout back more annoyed.
No answer.
I stomp towards it, my speed picking up and weaving through the maze of shattered window panes and busted walls. I finally reach the edge of the dim reck and I see Star.
I exhales annoyed. "You told me you went home!"
No answer.
"Star!" I yell to her, marching towards her. "What do you not trust me?" I let a snicker leave my lips as I grab her shoulder and begin to turn her around. "Seriously your mom is probably waiti-"
She stares into my brown eyes  I stare into her fully white ones.
All the color leaves my face. That stare. It was the most frightening thing I've ever seen. My skin crawled and she touches my hand on her shoulder, her skin feeling ghostly.
"S-St-Star?" I mange to stutter out, my mouth chattering as a chill runs through my body.
She places a finger on my lips. I cross my eyes to see its glowing purple. I look back at her and she tilter her head, all the colors of her face and hearts and dress faded like a pastel. Her hair sways in an off white and her eyes still have no pupils or irises.
Her finger traces from my lips down off my chin and she turns around and begins to run away. It takes me a second but I shake my head and run after her, my heart pounding through my ribs. Who was she? That couldn't of been Star. But what if it was? What happened to her? Is she okay? What if she's not! How can I help her if I can't even catch up to her!? Why is she like this? Did her mom do that? Did destroyer her wand make her like this? What happened to her?
But as my feet shift to a stop and I realize I've completely lost her. And it wasn't until she was gone that made me wonder if she ever existed or Ive been in this dimension too long.
"No." I shake my head. "That couldn't have been Star." I turn around and I hear something. I look down to see its my feet, crunching under the snow. I look up to see the Mewni castle proudly standing above the small, peasant village.
I sigh and my lungs finally break, was I running for that long? My head rushes with blood and I fall over into the snow. As the coldness seeps through my sweatshirt, my body is covered in a craving for warmth. I extend my arm out and I feel something burning hot touch my fingers. My eyes pop open and I sit up, seeing a faint green glow from right next to me. I pull my sweatshirt sleeves over my hands and I dig it up.
And there it was, a green star on a rock with a skeleton hand. As I reach for it, the light grows brighter and brighter and brighter until it takes over my vision.

And then it's dark again.
I sit up, breathing heavily and I pull up my pillow. My wand is still under it, still waiting patiently for me to cast a spell. I rub my neck, the clock says 3:34 am and i chew my lip. While the dream was exactly what happened this morning, my heart was beating like it just happened. Like I just got back from Mewni.
I swallow hard and spend the next hour or so tossing and turning and trying to fall asleep but to no avail.
I was forced to watch the sunrise.
