[I drew that (crappy on purpose) drawing up there]

After pulling back my curtains, I stare out of my window. The sun was rising slowly and it wasn't that spectacular. Sunsets were always better for me, they were filled with color and light and we're bringing you into night, a time when everyone is by themselves in there own mind.
It's poetic, I guess.
My alarm clock lets out the light sound of three beeps then a rest. Then three beeps and then a rest. I slink away from the window and turn it off, my arms feeling heavy.
I stretch and let out a yawn, "Okay. Just one tired day in school. No biggy." I get up and open the door and make my way to the bathroom. I stare in the mirror and all I see is a tired boy in a black tshirt staring back at me. I splash some water on my face, it was cool in an otherwise broiling world. May in Southern California was usually like this anyways, but maybe wearing black wasn't my best plan. I take off my tshirt, the collar now soaked with water and walk back into the hallway.
"Oh!" A light voice says in surprise as I bump into them. I shake my head and see Star. My fave turns bright red, I thought she'd still be getting ready. I dance on the balls of my feet before sprinting to my room and slamming the door. If there's one thing I hated, it was my stomach. Abs would make me way happier but I haven't had a lot of time to do worry about stuff like that since Star came.
I walk to my closet, embarrassed, and grab a light green tshirt and shorts. I get changed quickly and snatch my backpack from the corner of my room. As I leave, I trip over my own feet and face plant on the floor.
"Damn it!" I growl and grab my head. As I stand up, my feet uneven themselves and I trip a little, catching myself by running backwards a bit. As I finally balance myself and the dizziness in my head steadies, I can hear a soft, deep chortle ringing throughout my head. Quickly, I glance around my room but no one is there. So I shrug it away and reach for the door nob only to be stopped by this banging feeling that I was forgetting something. I walk around my room until my eyes land on my pillow. I pull it back and see my wand, not even glowing in the day light.
"MARCO!" Star calls. "IF YOU WANT BREAKFAST YOU GOTTA COME DOWN NOW!"
I shake a little. "COMING!" And I grab the wand and stuff it deep into my backpack. I sprint down the stares to see Star already munching down on her eggs.
Dropping my bag, I join her and think of how I might tell her I have the other half of the wand. Should I just show her? Bring it up? Would she be mad at me for keeping it from her all day? Probably not right? I take another bite and stare at her. She's flipping through her notebook and suddenly her eyes light up.
"Marco Marco Marco!" She cheers and shows it to me. It's a picture of her original wand, drawn pretty poorly. It's not proportional and the star still has all the lines going through it, from when she drew the star without picking up her pen. The lines are stubbly and uneven but the colors are alright i guess. They're at least accurate.
"How'd you manage to draw that?" I ask. "You got all the colors right."
"It was from the beginning of the year silly!" She laughs. "I drew it in class!"
"It's really good." I lie, even though my head was telling at me, shouting at me, to tell the truth.
"Aw." She looks sadly back at it as I shovel more food into my mouth. "I miss my old wand. The whole star looks so much better."
I go to tell her about my wand but I inhale and choke on my eggs. I gasp and begin to have a severe lack of oxygen getting into my lungs. Star jumps over the table and stands behind me. Painfully, she slaps me hard in the back and I cough, clearing my airways.
You okay?" She asks.
I nod, my eyes tearing a little. "Yeah. Thanks."
"Okay good." She smiles and she goes to get her shoes on.
"I'll just," I breathe heavily, relaxing a little, "tell her at school." I get up and begin to walk to the door but my hip catches the corner of the table. I hiss in pain and hop a little to catch my footing. As I slam into the railing, trying to catch my balance, I can hear someone very far away whisper deeply "such a disappointment."
I finally calm down and grab my bag and head to the door.

[le short time skip]

I lean against my locker right after forth period, I was starting to get tired again. Thank god it's Friday, I need sleep. As I rub my eyes, I begin my march to lunch and prey and don't trip again like I did in first and third. And each time I did, I could hear that deep, familiar voice talking about how weak I am. "What a disappoint you are, Marco" or "Why are you so weak, Marco" and worst of all "Why does Star even like you, Marco?"
As I near the cafeteria, I spot Star, Janna, Alfanzo and Ferguson all chatting it up. As I walk over to the lunch line, I feel a startling hand tap me on the back. My heart twitching, I turn to see Jackie Lynn Thomas smiling at me.
Smiling. At. Me.
"Hey Marco." She says casually.
"Oh." My feel my heart shake. "H-Hey."
"What's up?" She says as she holds out her tray for Mac n cheese.
I follow. "Nothing really. I mean yesterday Star and I went to another dimension which was cool and stuff. I guess, I mean. It was fun but she had to leave early and she left me-"
Stop talking, Marco.
My brain was right. I look up to see her laughing slightly to herself.
"Can I ask where you went?" She says as she holds up her try to get pudding.
"No." I say way to quickly. "I-I-It's like a secret mission. She uh... Her mom- Star's mom wanted us to go on..." I laugh nervous
She snickers cutely. "Fair enough."
I grab the chocolate milk and the vanilla pudding and we walk away from the servers. My hands begin to clam up and my stomach was filled with more butterflies than a Kaleidoscope. [An: that's a group of butterflies. IK IK I'm difficult]. As I turn back my attention, my eyes almost hurt to look at Jackie. I look away to see I'm farther away from Star as ever and she's in too deep of a conversation to help me out of this mess. I feel light headed, my back is sweaty and hot, my backpack tugging down my shoulders.
"Loser." The voice taunts, it traveling through the air from all directions and hitting me right in the skull. I keep walking forward, my vision narrowed. "Loser."
I keep walking, my eyes focused on Star. I think I hear Jackie talking back I couldn't understand her.
"Loser."
"Loser! Loser!"
"Shut up." I mumble to myself.
"Pathetic little boy." The deep and composed voice continues.
"What shot do you have with her!?"
"Loser!"
"Wimp!"
"Weak!"
"Pathetic."
"Shut. Up." I murmur pointedly. I hustle my walk but it's like I'm moving in slow motion. I'll never make it to Star in time. I have to get out of here. My backpack heats up my back like a furnace. I need to just get out here. My tunnel vision narrows even more on Star, she finally looks up to me but I think I let out a scream.
Her eyes were all white.
I back away quickly until I smash into something and the world reappears. I fall into something hard and metal and feel my lunch end up all over me. My head is spinning so fast my eyes shut and they roll to the back of my head.
When I open them slightly, I see I'm tied up in a chair, in the same crystal box in Ludo's castle with a dark figure hovering over me.
It bends over, revealing a thin face and pair of yellow eyes. "You're a disappointment."
I shoot my eyes open and I realize I'm in a way worst situation. The cafeteria is silent and everyone, everyone, is staring at me. I can feel the metal cart I slammed into under my spine and my food is all over the floor and me.
And worst of all;
I couldn't even move.
