My close friend once told me not to think of two colors mixing, but as two colors falling in love. The colors mix together when they encounter each other. Their soft grasps rub off and that's how you make purple out of blue and red. Navy and crimson are their own people, and they start to catch feelings for each other. Glances become stares, and then suddenly their hands become intwined together. They both start to turn a lilac and the flame in red burns out and it becomes a violet. Violet is blue's new favorite color. They're never known as navy and crimson anymore, but violet and periwinkle.
