"Shit!" Clide mumbled letting go of the remote and placing his hand on my head so that as soon as we hit the floor it wouldn't hurt me. Ok well it did hurt mainly because Clide fell right on top of me! "I win," I said looking up at him. He was staring right back never breaking eye contact.

Clide's p.o.v

I stared back into Cassie's eyes trying to get a hold of myself. I mean I hated having to go through four days not saying a word to her! I went out with my mates but no matter how hard as I tried I couldn't get her out of my mind and I couldn't even touch another girl! So I guess you're wondering what I was doing with that girl on the couch. I wanted to get Cassie out of my mind; I mean it's not normal for a friend to have the other in their head all day! So I brought her home thinking that Cassie wouldn't be here, just as Cassie walked in I was gonna stop everything, I know, that's what they all say but......ever since I kissed Cassie I just seem to be wanting her lips, her taste and well just her!

I wanted to lean in and just kiss her. No Clide! Don't! The voice inside my head screamed over and over at me. She was smiling up at me and.......saved by the doorbell! Cassie looked to her side but I couldn't help but run my thumb over the small cut she had above her eyebrow. Her head turned straight away to face me and I smiled weakly at her, then bent down and place a kiss over the cut. She just looked at me with her eyes wide open and I pushed myself up running to the door, I stopped running just as I reached the door and turned back, "Cover up, I don't want someone else eyeing you up,"

Ok so yeah teasing but not really teasing.....get what I'm saying? She got up to her feet and ran to the bedroom. I opened the door to be face to face with my mate, Jeremy and his girlfriend. "Yo dude! How's it going?" "Um....what the fuck do you think you're doing here?" he raised his eyebrow and then pushed me aside walking in. Just as he entered Cassie walked out wearing a pair of shorts under the nightdress. "WOW! You never told me you had a hot chick on your arm!" I saw Cassie's cheeks burn red and I couldn't help but smile. She's so cute when she blushes. "Um....were not....um really.....together.....just friends," She spoke up shaking his hand then his girlfriends. "Oh ok," Jeremy said giving her a small smile, but I don't need to worry about anything, Jeremy is totally dedicated to his girl.

"Babe, I wonna go! Can we go?" his girlfriend nagged pulling at his arm. They just left without a word. Yep my friends are weird but hey at least they don't stick around forever. "Ok.....freaky! I'm going to bed," Cassie said jumping on her heels then turning to leave, just as she took a turn she ran back and popped her head round, "You don't have to sleep on the sofa anymore by the way," She said with her cherry voice. "Thank god! I swear I'll be twisting and turning all night due to that.....stupid couch!" I called out walking behind her to the bedroom. Well yeah I know weird sleeping in the same bed as your best friend but that's all it is.

Once we were tucked in Cassie turned to face me and I saw the worry in her eyes, "Clide? What if....what if I....." she cut off and I knew exactly what she was talking about. She was scared about having the dreams again, "Maybe.....maybe I should just go to the......" this time I cut her off, "Cassie, you're not crazy ok? I was just worried about you so I jumped on the first thing I thought would help.......you're stronger than what you think," I whispered, stroking her hair softly before I pulled my hand away. She smiled back to me and then as if I read her eyes I wrapped my arms around her and she hugged me back, burring her head into my shoulder.

Cassie's p.o.v

I woke up in the same way I fell asleep last night, damn it! If only I could just grow a pair and tell him already! But on the plus side, I didn't have the nightmare!! I pulled out of Clide's arms to see him already awake, "Morning," I whispered looking up at him, "Morning, you didn't have the nightmare, well I only know cause I got a night of descent sleep," I slapped his arm and got out of the bed, OH CRAP!! I slept with the shorts on! I really need to remember to take them off next time.
