Part 14

(Recap)

I could feel my eyes start to get heavy and Cassie pointed out a motel. We stopped and the guy gave us a key to our room. "8" I said aloud as I opened the door. Cassie walked in and took her jeans off but kept her tank top on. I slept in my boxers and pulled Cassie to my chest holding her tight against me. He won't ever hurt her again, she's mine and I'll do whatever it takes to keep her safe, even if that mean me getting hurt.

We're back on the road and I couldn't help but think about the way the one thing I ever wanted.....came true. Clide held me! Ugh where the hell are we going!?! I couldn't help but beg in my head. I looked out the window to see a small shop and then a few more. "Um...Clide, where are we?" I asked, my eyes not leaving the sight before me. "Don't worry about it, you're better off not knowing, but everything's sorted," he said stealing a quick glance at me. "Wait! How is everything sorted? You throw your mum's card away," I asked narrowing my eyes at him. "I do save up too you know," He let out a chuckle and I relaxed back into the chair.

I'm not gonna ask any more questions, I trust him. After a few more minutes of driving Clide pulled into a street that had those two story houses lined up on either side. They were normal sized but beautiful! Each house was separated by a long bush with blue and red roses running down on both sides. The shutters on the windows where red and all the houses where a bright white. The grass was freshly cut and obvious that someone came to cut it every week. The sun shone brightly down and I knew this would be the one place where I would always be happy.

Clide parked at the edge of the pavement in front of one of the houses. A red convertible was parked in front of us and I wondered what our neighbours are like. Clide shut the engine down and leaned back against his chair. He sighed looking out before turning to me and taking my hand that was on my knee in his gently giving it a tight squeeze. "New start, we'll make it work," He whispered before letting my hand go and stepping out the car. I took in a deep breath and opened the car door stepping out, facing the house opposite ours. I wonder if people around here are as nice as back home. Ha! I don't even know where the fuck we are.

I took in another deep breath but this time for the amazing blowing breeze. It smelled....just natural. I blinked a few times making sure I wasn't imagining this. I was staring up at the sky and I felt Clide's hands wrap around my waist and place a kiss on my cheek, "You coming in or what?" I felt him smile against my cheek and I nodded. I turned around and took Clide's hand as we walked up the small, narrow path way so that the grass wouldn't get ruined. Clide opened the door and then passed me a spare key.

The inside was huge! Well ok, fine a lot smaller then my parent's house but it was a normal family sized house, and to me it was huge.

The stairs lined up on the left side allowing a lot of room to walk past into the other rooms further down. Clide walked me to the closets room on the left. It was the kitchen and damn! This was way, way bigger than my parent's kitchen. The oven, washing machines e.c.t. where all on one end of the room and the table along with the fridge where on the other, cabinets lined all over the walls and the floor was a marble white while.

The first room on the right was the sitting room, it was big and comfy. There was a small closet door in the stars and the final room at the bottom right at the end, was the conservatory, and then the garden. The garden was amazing. Two big oak trees bent over covering the distance with their branches and leaves. The grass again, perfect and the flowers just filled the place with an amazing scent.
