Sue had wondered what to do.
"She's alive!"
Looking down at Rue.
Jasper's face full of concern
To the Gulch they must return
He picked her up in his arms.
"God, I hope she did not come to harm?"
Bubba Bigbee got up from bed
"If there is anything we can do..."
Jasper nodded his head.
"Wait! We have a healer
Just come to town.
He's the one who's kept
Bubba around."
"I would have lost him months ago
if he didn't show.
If you follow me
I'll take you there
you and Ruechari."
Sue led the way
Jasper didn't know what to say
Had no idea if this guy was a quack
Or could bring his Ruechari back
But the one thing he knew
If something happened to Rue
Billy had already implied
He'd have Jasper's hide.
