Out of Control
Shouts and stamping on the street.
Accelerating heartbeats.
Thud.
Black smoke devouring the horizon.
Shooting fire tongues.
Once more, Alister saw his family's house burning.
Stray Dog kept running up and down the hall,
calculating a new church's costs in his head.
His murmur driving Crooked Smile up the wall.
"Water!" the barkeeper yelled.
And with a full bucket left and right,
he staggered outside.
There, he left a pool,
tripping over Tiger's hole.
The dog ducked as if to say:
"I don't see you,
you don't see me."
Raven and Thunderpanda were on their way
to Tent City.
