All in a Day

AJ smiled from ear to ear,

Loren's song, he did overhear.

A brownie craving, with icing and sprinkles,

The batch he baked, would induce melodic giggles.

Brownies in basket, the peach cobbler was next,

Ms Darkly made a batch, before her date was nixed.

He plated them with care, and called Little Ron,

It was to be delivered, for CG's intimate dinner with 3Gun.

With the special orders done and delivered,

AJ sat to rest at the cafe's porch.

Marshall Order walked by, and stopped to ask,

"Have you seen Loren, by any chance?"

AJ pointed at the Saloon across the street,

"Loren's in there Marshall, why don't you listen to her sing..."

Before the Marshall left, AJ told him to hold on a second,

AJ ran to get the brownies, back in the kitchen.

As AJ handed the Marshall the basket of brownies,

The Baker pointed at something, across the Marshall's cheek.

"You've got lipstick, sir." the baker informed in a rush,

The Marshall's face went pink, even his nose blushed.

The Marshall left, soon Ms Darkly arrived,

She looked a bit troubled, and very tired.

AJ brought her a tall glass of lemonade,

And smiled as he asked her about her day.

Ms Darkly sighed, and told AJ some of what she found out,

About the Tent City, and the Tex-Mex clout.

She wanted to know more, but was left hanging,

Her informant feared for his life, so he went off walking.

AJ spoke when Ms Darkly finished.

"We have customers from the Tent City, Miss Darkly.

Some of them strange, but a few are quite friendly.

Theres a girl here, Gyn, she daily buys her bread,

She's an honest kid, always willing to help.

She works odd jobs in that​ part of town,

She probably knows things that are going around.

You can ask her tomorrow, she eats breakfast here,

I'm sure she knows something you'd want to hear."
