Sorting Raven

He saw the rider leaving town

Running from the fire

He called his horse to track him down

And learn what did transpire

It was Raven's horse that tipped him off

Tied up outside a tent

He was getting money for some payoff

From a most unsavoury gent

3Gun shoved him out the flap

His action a reflex

He tossed the money in the lap

Of the man he knew was Tex Mex

Outside he took Raven by the arm

"It was for telling him about the church."

"And you fell for his sleazy charm?"

"I was supposed to search."

"For what, don't you know he's a killer?"

"He said it was for a good cause."

"Raven! He's no community pillar."

"Listen Sheriff, I broke no laws."

"What about the fire?"

"The parson knocked over a candle."

"You get back to town

And wait there for me,

This fella I'm goin' to handle."

By the way . . .

"The church is a write off you all tried your best

The pastor's a wreck and needs lots of rest

Unger volunteered to preach to the masses

Unfortunately all he knows is ashes to ashes."
