almost wife

-couple weeks later-
gabby pov:
i woke up to the sound of matt in the shower, i sat up slowly not to over do anything. i heard the water stop in the bathroom and a couple minutes later the door opened and matt walked out with jeans on but no shirt.
i smiled and stood up and walked over to him, he turns around and wraps his arms around me
gabby: how did my almost husband sleep?
matt: good, how did my almost wife sleep?
gabby: alright
i smiled
matt: i cant wait to call you my wife.
i smiled again, even bigger
gabby: me too
i leaned up and kissed him, and he kissed me back, we just kept kissing for a little while and then matt pulled away
matt: hey, it is getting later, we both should get ready to go to this doctors appointment.
i just leaned up and kissed him again
matt: gabby
he giggled and pulled away again
matt: im serious we are going to be late
gabby: okay, fine fine.
i kissed him one last time and pulled away and turned to the dresser. i put sweatpants and a big sweatshirt on.
we both were ready to go, we got into matts truck and headed to the doctors.
gabby: matt,
i looked at him he knew i was scared
matt: hey
we got to the doctors he parked the car and turned towards me.
matt: it's going to be okay, let's just see what the doctor says and we'll go from there
i nodded and we both walked in, we signed in and went right to the room.
the doctor walked in talked to us about the wedding and the baby and did some tests to see if the bleeding stopped or got worse, couple minutes later he walked back into the room.
doctor: alright
he hung the pictures up on the light board.
doctor: you see that there, that the tare. last time it was only this big
he showed on the pictures
doctor: and now it got a little worse, do you feel any pain or had any bleeding?
gabby: no i seriously feel fine.
the doctor nodded.
doctor: i'm really asking and suggesting you to not do anything anymore. you need to be put on bed rest for the rest of this pregnancy, it's the only thing that'll help you and the baby.
i looked at matt and then back at the doctor.
gabby: but the wedding i-
matt: the wedding can wait.
gabby: NO.
matt: gabby, im serious the wedding can wait you come first.
gabby: no. come on please.., can we still have the wedding, it's in two days, and after it i promise. bed rest.
i looked at him beggingly. 
he nodded
doctor: you can, but listen to me, i'm being all serious right now. after this wedding, no going out or doing anything. you hear me? no firehouse. no up and down the stairs. no exercise, try not to be on your feet for a long time and absolutely NO STRESS. none of that. i'm serious gabby, it's critical for you and the baby.
i nodded in agreement.
doctor; alright you guys can go sign out and make the next appointment at the front desk, see you in a couple weeks.
matt and i both thanked him grabbed our stuff and walked out. we made another appointment for in a couple weeks, i signed my name out and then we both walked to the truck. we got into the truck and it was just a total silent ride back to our place, we got back and i walked inside first put my stuff on the table by the tv and walked into the kitchen and poured myself a glass of water.
i just don't understand why matt would try and push our wedding again. it really sucks, everything sucks but i want to be married to him more then anything.
i looked up at matt walked in and standing on the other side of the counter that i was leaning on.
i finally spoke up.
gabby: why'd you try and push the wedding..
matt: for you.
gabby: but i want to marry you more then anything matt.
i looked at him with tears in my eyes
matt: i know you do baby, and i want to marry you so badly. i'm just so worried.
i looked down and away and a few tears fell down my face.
matt: hey, hey gabby,
he reached over and  and grabbed my hands gently.
matt: i know you are scared. i am to, im so scared. but you and i are going to get through this together. we are getting married in two days, we will do all of this together baby. you got this. we got this, together. i promise you it'll all be okay.
i took a deep breath and finally gathered myself all together, matt walked around the counter and over to me and pulled me into his arms.
gabby: i love you so much
matt: i love you to baby, more then anything.
i cracked a small smile and buried my face into his chest.
couple minutes later his voice broke the silence.
matt: so is everything set for the wedding?
gabby: yeah i think so, you're mom should be here tomorrow night, my parents are coming in tomorrow night. we got chaplain orlovsky, the place is set up. i think we are good.
matt: im so ready to be married to you.
gabby: it's about damn time.
i cracked and smile and leaned up and kissed him
matt: there is no one in the world i'd rather be with then you.
i smiled again just even bigger
gabby: hey matt?
matt: yeah?
he grabbed my hands that were sitting in my lap
gabby: when our parents come tomorrow, can we not tell them about the whole baby thing.. i don't want them to worry and everything i just want the wedding to run as smooth as possibly.
matt: of course.
he kissed the top of my head as i rested it on his shoulder.
the night started to come to an end, it was getting late and matt and i were exhausted. we headed upstairs and to bed.
-next morning-
i woke up with matts arm around me, i couldn't help but smile. one day until the wedding, and i couldn't be more happier. i rolled over and faced matt, i stared at him while he was sleeping and i couldn't help but just smile at the love of my life.
a couple seconds later matts phone went off on his nightstand, he rolled over and grabbed the phone, turned the sound off and rolled over and looked at me.
matt: hey gorgeous
i smiled and pecked a kiss on his lips, he sat up and looked down at me.
matt: i have to get ready to go pick up my mom at the airport
i nodded
matt: wanna come or stay home?
gabby: i think i'm gonna stay home today
matt: you alright babe?
gabby: yeah the doctor just scared me yesterday and i don't want to over do anything, especially before the wedding..
matt looked at me and nodded, he leaned in and kissed my lips, i brought my hand up to his face
matt: i can't wait to be married to you
gabby: same matt.
i smiled, he pulled away got up and got ready to go pick up his mom from the airport.

matt just left. i didn't want to lay in bed all day, i grabbed my blanket and moved to the couch downstairs, i turned on some criminal minds and rested my head down on the pillow.
little while later my phone went off, i sat up and looked over at the clock. it was already 2pm...
i reached over for my phone, lowered the tv and answered it.
gabby: hello?
: hey gabby it's your mom
gabby: hey mom whats up?
gabby's mom: hey nothing, just wanted to check up on you
gabby: yeah everything's good, i can't wait for tomorrow. i can't wait to see you mama
gabby mom: gab... your father and i won't be able to make it tomorrow
gabby:  no
gabby mom: i'm so sorry sweetheart, something came up
gabby: but he was supposed to walk me down the aisle, how could you guys miss your own daughters wedding.
gabby mom: i'm soo sorry my love.
gabby: alright mom.
gabby mom: i'm sorry.
i hug up my phone and pulled my blanket closer to my face trying to fight back tears that were forming in my eyes. i heard two car doors outside close and footsteps getting closer. i sat up and wiped my face as the door opened.
gabby: hey guys
i said and sniffed
matt: hey baby
he said placing his moms bags down on the steps
matt: im gonna bring my moms stuff upstairs and then i'll be right down!
i nodded and sat back on the couch wiping the couple of tears falling from my face. couple minutes later i heard a couple foot steps coming down the stairs and i looked over it was matt walking over to me, i looked up at him.
matt: baby what's wrong
gabby: my mom just called...her and my dad can't make it
matt looked down at me and sat down on the couch next to me
gabby: i should have seen this coming.
i took a deep breath and matt pulled me into his arms.
matt: gabs im so sorry baby
gabby: i really wanted them to come matt..
matt: i know you did baby, but they probably had a good reason
gabby: to miss their only  daughters wedding??
more tears escaped
matt: alright i know it sucks baby but hey you got me okay? you'll always have me. who needs them at the wedding.
i nodded and looked at him
matt: you got me. always.
i nodded again as he reassured me, and wrapped his arms around me. 
nancy came down the stairs and walked into the living room where matt and i were sitting. i wiped my face again.
nancy: nice place you both have here
matt: thanks mom
i was so happy for matt, having his mom here it probably means so much to him, seeing him happy makes me so happy. he deserves everything in the world..
i reached for his hand
nancy sat down in the chair
nancy: i'm so happy for the both of you. wedding tomorrow and baby soon.
i cracked a smile and nodded
nancy: so when are your parents coming in gabriela?
gabby: uh they aren't... something came up and they couldn't make it.
nancy: oh i'm sorry..
i cracked a small smile
gabby: it's alright..
nancy: let's change the subject.. so when are you due gabriela?
she cracked a big smile
gabby: if everything goes good hopefully in april...
i felt matt squeeze my hand, it made me feel calm.
nancy: h-
there was a knock on the door that interrupted nancy.
matt: i got it
he stood up and walked over to the door and once the door opened i heard firmilar voices, i turned my head and saw brett, sev and some of the other guys make their way in the house.
i stood up and brett walked over to me and hugged me.
brett: hey girly i miss you!
she hugged me tight again and sev made his way over along with otis and cruz.
matt: this is my mom, nancy.
they all said hi and made her feel welcomed which made me smile, all the guys were talking about their night.
i turned to brett and before i could say anything she said something first.
brett: you ready to go?
she looked at me
gabby: yeah i just have to grab my bag.
nancy made her way over
gabby: where you guys going tonight?
brett: back to my place, going to have a little girls night since she can't do anything fun!
gabby: i'm pregnant, that why!
i giggled
nancy: mind if i join?
gabby: uh
i looked at brett
brett: yeah why not!
i cracked a small smile and nodded
the guys broke up out of their circle and i walked over to matt.
gabby: so what are you animals doing tonight?
matt: aye!
i looked at him and giggled
gabby: promise you'll be safe?
matt nodded
matt: promise you!
he kissed my cheek.
i looked up at him
gabby: nancy is coming with brett and i..
matt: really since when?
gabby: since like 2 minutes ago, and i don't mind at all but i feel like it'll be awkward
matt: nah, you'll get to know her better, it'll be fine!
i nodded in agreement and brett walked over to us.
brett: ready gabs?
i nodded and kissed matt goodbye!

matt pov:
gabby kissed me goodbye and made her way towards the door. i grabbed brett's are gently and she turned around!
matt: hey..
i looked at her
matt: my mom doesn't know about the baby. like she knows about gabby being pregnant but not what could happen, and we both would like to keep it that way
brett: yeah of course, no problem.
she nodded in agreement.
matt: take care of her tonight
brett: i will, don't do anything dumb tonight.
they both giggled and went our separate ways.
the night went fast, beers games, girls, BARS. somehow we ended back home.
