Dawson pov:
Today we're getting a new paramedic, I'm the PIC which is the paramedic in charge, but my partner just left because she got a promotion I'm honestly really happy for her but i don't like change. I'm hoping my new partner is just the same as my old.

Shay: yea I'm looking for dawson, Gabriella dawson?
Random: I'll go get her-walks inside to get dawson- hey dawson, there is a girl on the apparatus floor looking for you?
Dawson: okay, that must be the new paramedic.

Gabby pov:
I walk out of the two doors and see a blonde girl standing there with her bags.
Shay: hey you must be Gabriella dawson? I'm shay the new paramedic. I've heard a lot of great things about you. I'm Leslie shay
Dawson: -shakes her hand-. Glad to have you here, let me show you around. -takes the lead- okay, so those two guys were Otis and Cruz, they are completely harmless, they will probably try and ask you out but they're cool.
Shay: no I'm-
Dawson: -walks over to the truck- this is Leslie shay she's the new paramedic, this is LT. Casey, that's Herman, and that's mills.
Mills- hey Leslie-shakes her hand-
Shay: hey guys -shakes their hand- you can just call shay. -smiles-
Herman: shay it is, nice to have you here.
Casey: nice to meet you, for the future note: don't like dawson drive the rig, not good -shaking his head-
Dawson: hey -giggles and slaps his arm playfully-
Casey: I'm serious -watches them as they walk off and laughs-
Dawson: tucks her hair behind her ear and looks back at him-
Shay: so you and LT Casey?
Dawson: no no what?
Shay: well you should -smiles-
Dawson: -walks to the squad table- hey guys, this is shay she's the new paramedic on ambo 51 that's severide, tony capp rice
Shay: hey did I hear something about appartment, you looking for a roommate?
Severide: yea but idk-stands up- you interested?
Shay: woah LT put it back in your pants I'm not your type.
Severide: never know.
Shay: you have a vagina? I'm lesbian, full.
Severide: -nods- ohh okay.
Gabby: -laughs- that's severide for you -as they walk into the two doors towards the kitchen- this is the kitchen area, we usually make breakfast dinner and lunch here mills makes it bc he's candidate so. Oh yeah, that's mouch.-points to him sleeping on the couch-
Shay: mouch?
Dawson: yea-giggls- we call him mouch bc he's always on the couch and the guys came up with it, they think he's half man half couch
Shay: -laughs- oh, I think I'm going to like it here.
Dawson: okay let me go show you your locker and the bunks that we have, follow me-smiles-
I actually think I'm going to like this girl, she's so laid back and chill, she seems like she will be great person for this house.
Dawson: you can have this locker-points to it- make sure you lock it all the time because if you don't the boys will leave a little surprise for you.
Shay: oh god, it must be hard being the only girl here?
Dawson:-shrugs- nah it's kind of fun, it's like having a bunch of older brothers running around.. It's cool, i actually kind of like it. -smiles-
Shay: that sounds nice-opens her locker and puts her bag in there-
Dawson; so what house did you come from?
Shay: 14th and main, house 72
Dawson-nods- you like it over there?
Shay-nods- just needed a change
Dawson: well I hope you like it here, it'll be cool having another girl around.
Shay: yea in excited to see what's to come.-smiles- how long have you been here?
Dawson: it's been 4 years now. I love this house. We've been through a lot and still seem to hold on to what we've got.
Shay: -smiles- well that's great!
Rice -walks in- hey guys, Boden wants us in the meeting room in 5 minutes, he wants to go over some stuff before shift starts.
Dawson and shay nod their heads and change into their fire house cloths.
Shay: who is Boden?
Dawson; he's the chief, he's a pretty cool guy.
Shay: how is he? Is he involved or does he sit on his ass and just give people their jobs to do?-fixes her hair-
Dawson; no he's not like that, he's always at all the scenes and he's always there if anything goes down, he's got our backs-smiles as she buttoned her pants- ready?
Shay-nods-
Shay and dawson walk off to the meeting room and sit down at the same table. The room started getting full of the crew and then chief Boden walked in and quieted us all down.
Boden: okay just one announcements and then I will let you all get back to your business. First off, wanted to introduce our new paramedic who will be joining us on 51, Leslie shay. Please make sure you give her a big 51 welcome. Okay guys get back to work.
Everyone goes their own ways, most of the guys go towards the kitchen. Gabby walks to the counter and grabs a mug and fills it half way with coffee. Casey walks to the counter and leans on it while sipping his coffee.
Dawson; hey Casey-smiles-
Casey: hey dawson. So new paramedic, what do you think of her?
Dawson: she seems great.
Casey: that's good, that's really good-cracks a smile-
Dawson; you okay?
Casey: ye-
