HELP

Dawson pov:
I heard my loud alarm go off, I swung my arm over to turn it off
Gabby: I wish I could sleep forever
I mumbled
I pulled the blanket over my head as I mumbled
Matt: well you can't babe, we're going to be late for shift you gotta get up
Matt leaned down over me and kissed me an pulled the blankets off.
Matt: now go get dressed
He laughed an i got up. Got dressed and we headed to the firehouse.
Boden: meeting room in 5 everyone.
Everyone changed out and got ready for shift and met in the meeting room.
Boden: okay, well mills is back on squad so let's all welcome the new paramedic who will be joining dawson this is Sylvia Brett, let's all give her a warm 51 welcome.
Everyone clapped
Boden: last announcement, shays memorial ceremony will be next shift. Thanks and everyone be safe out there. Casey, dawson, severide, stay for 2 seconds.
Everyone exited.
Boden: dawson, severide did you guys decide who was making the speech for shay?
Dawson: yea um.. I'm going to do it..
Boden: okay sounds good
Severide walks out
Boden: okay you two, have you guys thought about what we talked about?
Casey: I would love to have dawson on truck with us.
Boden: dawson?
I looked over to Casey and saw him nodd
Dawson: if it's alright with Casey, I would love to join.
Boden: okay so I'll push to find a new PIC I'll let you guys know.
Casey: thanks chief.
Chief walked out of the meeting room. Casey walked over to me and kissed me
Dawson: what was that for
Casey: just because I can
I smiled and kissed him back
AMBO 61 MAN DOWN KENTON AND POLAR
gabby: gotta go
I pecked his cheek and ran to the ambo. Brett hopped in the front and and drove to the address. It was a victim with a laceration so we bandaged him and got him to med just to be safe. We grabbed the gurney and loaded it back on the ambo and headed back to the firehouse.
Gabby: I never got to introduce myself I'm gabby dawson
Brett: I'm Brett
She smiled
Gabby: it's nice to have another girl at 51
Brett: what's it like working with a bunch of guys
Gabby: crazy but I wouldn't want to have it any other way, they're like brothers to me. Hey when we get back the house I'll show you everything on ambo
Brett: sounds good
We got back to the house, they guys were doing their thing so I showed Brett around the ambo showed her where all the supplies were, I think her and I are going to be great friends. She reminds me just of shay and it's great to have another girl in the house!
Gabby: let's go do a run we need gas
Brett: okay!
We get to the station and a call comes over the radio.
TRUCK 81 SQUAD 3 AMBO 61 SUICIDE ATTEMPT BIRMINGHAM BRIDGE
everyone hopped in their trucks and Brett as I hopped on the ambo. This isn't going to be a good call. But it's our job to try and save people who think like this.
We got to the scene and everyone hopped out of their trucks. It was a young male, no older then 20. This is so sad, a kid who has his whole life ahead of him wants to kill himself..
Severide tried to talk to him, Casey tried to talk to him, even Herman tried.
Boden: if this kid is really thinking about it, we don't have time to stop traffic, and get the bags up down below.
Dawson: I can try chief.. Let me try and help him..
Chief looked around.
Boden; okay, clip in dawson.
I clipped in and grabbed the webbing for the hands so I could help the kid over
Dawson: hey kid
I walked closer putting my hands up showing him that I was harmless

dawson: hey hey, I just want to talk.. What's your name?
He looked over at me an looked me in the eyes.
Dawson: I'm Gabriella, you can call me gabby. What's your name?
?: my names Blake..
He looked around at everyone else.
Dawson: hey Blake, hey look at me not them.... Blake can I come over, so it's easier to talk to you?
He nodded and I got over the barricade.
Dawson: I'm gonna come a little closer.
Blake: no stay there please stay there
Dawson: okay okay, I'm staying right here. Can you talk to me? Tell me why you're doing this? Why you wanna do this?
Blake looked up at me
Blake: I can't live without her.
He started crying and getting anxious
Gabby: live without who Blake?
Blake: my mom...... she just died from an overdose. My dads in jail. I have no one anymore.
He walked closer to the edge
Blake; the pain is just to much.
Dawson: HEY HEY BLAKE WAIT WAIT, look at me Blake. I know losing your mom is hard but doing this to yourself isn't going to change anything..
Blake: I'll be with her if I do this.
Dawson: you don't know that for sure, you don't know that Blake.
Blake: I just want to be with my mom
He started crying again
Dawson: listen to me, losing someone is the hardest thing you'll probably ever have to go through, especially a parent or someone you were really close to, trust me I do know that. But living without that person, gives your life a whole new perspective and I do know that.
Blake: how, how do you know that?
He looked up at me and walked closer to me.
Dawson: because I recently lost someone and I thought that living didn't mean anything anymore because that person wasn't in it, but I learned to live and love my life again and I know you can do that.
Blake:what if I can't I don't want to. I DONT WANT TO LIVE WITHOUT HER
dawson: you can, I know you can do it. I believe in you and look all these people here that believe in you
I pointed to all the firefighters standing around
Dawson: if they didn't they wouldn't be here trying to help you figure that out.. Take my hand, let me help you back over.
Blake looked at me
Dawson; please Blake
I held my hand out and he grabbed it. I pulled him closer to me and grabbed the barricade, severide, Cruz, Casey and Boden ran over and grabbed us.
we got over the barricade and we got Blake on a stretcher.
Boden: nice work dawson! Get him to med
Chief; thanks chief!
Brett and I got Blake to med and dropped him off, we reloaded the ambo and went back to the firehouse!
we got out of the ambo and everyone was in the kitchen area eating lunch. We sat down with the truck table and started eating!
AMBO 61 CAR ACCIDENT VICTIM CORNOR OF WALBASH AND BROOKS
Brett and I got up and ran to the ambo.
Gabby: man it's gonna be one of those days..
I took a deep breath and hopped into to ambulance
Brett: that's a busy inner section
Gabby; yea we just have to be careful and keep your eyes open
Brett: got it
we got to the scene, it ended up being minor but we had to bandage a few people up, they didn't need any more treatment so they ended up leaving. Brett and I hopped in the ambo and was fixing the back of the rigg when we knew it the ambo flipped over. Everything went black. I heard beeping horns and I opened my eyes. The ambo was on its side and all I saw was bandages and medicine all over the place. Brett where is Brett. I saw her laying under the gurney where my leg was stuck I tried to crawl over to her but I couldn't, I grabbed my walkie and tried to talk into it.
Gabby: help
I tried to say into the radio

Matt pov:
We were finishing up eating and chief walked in the room.
Boden: has anyone hear from dawson or Brett?
We shook our heads
Matt: why what's up chief
I stood up
Boden: they should have been back by now..
Cruz walked into the kitchen area
Cruz: GUYS DAWSON IS ON THE RADIO I THINK SOMETHING HAPPENED, I think they're in trouble
Otis: what?
We all got up and ran to the tower and then we all heard
Gabby: ANYONE??
Gabby: THIS AMBO 61. PLEASE SEND HELP TO OUR LOCATION. OUR AMBO, HAS BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT ON THE CORNOR OF WALBASH AND BROOKS. WE NEED HELP
I could hear she was in pain. I looked over at the guys
Chief: GUYS LOAD UP
Cruz into the radio: we're coming dawson.
Truck squad and chief suited up and ran to their trucks. we road to the scene, the first thing we saw was the ambulance on its side. The guys and I hopped out of the trucks and ran over to the ambo and squad ran to the truck that hit the ambo.
Matt; GABBY?? BRETT
Gabby: WERE IN HERE
MAtt: you guys okay?
Gabby: my leg is pinned and my head hit something but Brett is really stuck.
Matt: okay we'll get you guys out hold on!
I stood up
Matt: they are pretty stuck in there, Dawson's leg is pinned and the gurney is on top of Brett. we need to get the gurney out and get them out! on the count of three I need everyone to pull the gurney out of the ambo! READY 1, 2, 3
Everyone pulled and the gurney came out. Gabby crawled over to Brett who was breathing but unconscious!
Gabby crawled out and pulled Brett out. She checked her pulse
Gabby; her pulse is strong she's just knocked out
More ambulances arrived the guys carried Brett over to the ambo
I grabbed gabby and pulled her up into my arms
Matt; you okay?
I cupped her face in my hands and pushed her hair out of her face
Gabby: it's just my leg and my head but I'm good I think I'm ok

Gabby pov
Chief: What happened dawson?
Gabby: we were in the back of the rigg cleaning up and I guess the cops unblocked the road and started letting traffic go again because next we knew the ambulance flipped over.
Chief: okay I want you to go to med to get checked out with Brett, especially your head
Gabby: chief im good really..
I put my hand to my head and then looked at my hand that had blood all over.
Chief: Go!
I agreed, I looked at Matt he kissed my cheek and I walked over to the ambo
We got to the hospital and the doctor gave me stitches in my head and wrapped my leg up. They admitted Brett for the night. I went to say bye to Brett and then got back to the firehouse. I walked in
Herman: look whose back!
I looked at everyone
Boden; what the doctors say?
Gabby: they wanted to keep Brett just for observations for the night and they want me to go home and get some rest
Boden; good to hear you guys are okay. See you guys next shift dawson!
I agreed
Matt pulled me aside
Matt: hey baby you okay?
He looked at me with concern
Gabby: Matt im fine, I promise. Only couple scratches it's okay!
Matt: you had me scared! When we got the call i....
Gabby: hey babe it's okay I'm fine. I'm gonna head back to my place and get some rest! Come over after shift!
Matt agreed, he kissed me I walked out to my car
I hopped in my car and drove off to my place. Finally home, I changed out of my clothes and into sweatpants and a tank top, I grabbed my blanket and pillow from my room and went downstairs to the kitchen made myself some tea and went to the living room i put a movie on the tv and laid down on the couch.

Matt pov:
Second shift guys were starting to show up, we went to the locker room and changed. I grabbed my bag and headed to my truck. I headed to gabby's house. I got to gabby's house and used the key she gave me to get in, I walked in and saw gabby sleeping on the couch. I couldn't help but smile. I changed out of my work cloths, thew on sweat pants and a tshirt and I woke her up
Matt: baby
Gabby: yea what
Matt: it's okay it's just me, let's go upstairs
She nodded and we laid down in her bed
Gabby: how was the rest of shift
Matt: good. Slow. How are you feeling?
Gabby: I'm good
Matt: good
I looked at her
Gabby: I'm okay. I promise.
She leaned in and kissed me
Gabby: I'm really okay
She smiled and rested her head on the pillow
Matt: good
I leaned in and kissed her and rested my head on the pillow
Gabby: get some sleep, we can go to Molly's later tonight
I agreed and kissed her again and rested my head on the pillow and pulled her in my arms
