A Killer Loves Me

Chapter Six

I wake up wrapped in a warmth. When I open my eyes and see Tod's face the events from last night come back to me. I smile at his sleeping face because he looks so young like when we first met.

But then I hear the front door close and footsteps on the stairs. I shake Tod to wake him up.

"Ahh. What?" He says still half asleep. "You have to hide my moms coming upstairs. I'm supposed to be grounded remember?!" I say as I push him out of the bed.

He hurries over and hides in the closet. A second later my mom opens the door.

"Did I wake you?" She asks as she comes and sits on the edge of my bed. "No I woke up before you got home." I tell her.

"Oh good. Well I wanted to talk to you. I'm sorry for how I reacted yesterday. I shouldn't have been so mean. You just have to let me know where you are at all times. Especially with a second girl being killed." She says.

"Ok. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. But I was wondering." I say. "Yes?" She ask.

"Can I go over to Seth's? Everyone's gonna be there to go swimming and hang out." I say.

"I suppose so, just let me know if you go anywhere else. Do you need a ride?" She asks. "No Tod's coming to pick me up." I tell her.

"Ok, well I guess I'll see you later. I'm going to take a nap." She says as she leaves the room.

Tod comes out of the closet and stands by the door. "I'll go wait downstairs while you get ready." He says.

He leaves the room and goes downstairs. I get up and take a quick shower. Then I throw on my blue and white striped bikini with jean shorts and a white tank top over it, with red flip flops, and I put my hair up into a messy bun. I go downstairs and grab Tod then we leave.

We stop at his house so he can change, then we head to Seth's. We are the last ones to arrive. We go around back and join everyone else.

"Finally. I thought you were gonna chicken out and not stand up to your mom." Scarlett says, she's wearing a green bikini and has her hair down.

"Nope. I worked things out with her, I'm no longer grounded." I say as I strip down to my bikini and sit next to Haley on the edge of the pool.

Then Seth comes out and I start laughing like crazy. He's wearing a really tight white speedo. He just takes a seat next to Scarlett who can't help but stare at his package with her mouth hanging open.

"Soooo.. Did you guys hear?" Coby asks. "Hear what?" Meredith asks him.

"They're labeling the two murders under one person. The cops say if they don't find them they could kill more people. They'd be the first serial killer ever in Morgans." Coby tells us.

"They better catch that fucker. Cause I'm gonna be really pissed if they kill me." Scarlett says. "We'd all be really pissed if they killed you Scar." Haley tells her.

"Awww. You guys love me." Scarlett says. "Yes we surprisingly do." Jace says, which causes us all to break out into a fit of laughter.

"I just hope they don't kill one of us." Pat says, which causes us all to get quiet. "They won't. People are scared of me. They know I'll kick their ass." Scarlett says.

"Do you know what happened to them. Like how they were killed." Tod asks.

"I heard they were gutted like fish!" Jace says with way to much excitement. "I heard they got raped before they were killed." Meredith says quietly.

"You are both wrong. My dad told me that Grace got strangled and beat to death. And that Carly got stabbed 3 times in the stomach and bleed to death." Coby says, who's dad is a cop.

We sit there in silence then Scarlett jumps up and does a cannonball ball into the pool soaking us all.

"Quit talking and get your butts in the pool." She shouts at as. Seth goes to jump in but she tells him to stop.

"Not you sexy. You stay right there for a second." She says, as she just stares at his speedo for a couple of seconds.

"Alright you can come in now." She finally says.

We all jump in and start splashing each other and yelling at each other.
