(Back to Abbi's POV)

As I'm on my way home my mind wanders. I start thinking about my life and the situation I'm in. Then I start thinking about all the killings.

What's going on in this town?

What's happening in my life?

I don't notice that I'm wandering into the street. A second later I'm pulled out of my thoughts by a car horn.

I jump back and land on my butt. When I look up I see someone franticly getting out of their car and coming over.

"Oh my. Are you ok?" The woman asks. "Yeah I'm fine. Sorry I just wasn't paying attention." I tell her.

"Are you sure you'll be fine?" She asks nervously. "Yeah I'm sure. Sorry to walk out in front of you. But I'll be heading on my way now." I tell her as I stand up.

"Ok. Well goodbye." She says as she climbs back in her car and drives off.

I hear someone coming up behind me so I turn around. When I do I see a panicked Pat standing in front of me.

"Are you ok?" He asks frantically. "Yes, why?" I ask. "Oh thank god. I saw you almost get hit by that car." He says.

Then he pulls me into a hug. It's awkward at first but then I hug back, as I breath in his familiars scent I calm down a little. He pulls away and smiles at me.

"I'm glad you're ok." He tells me. "Thanks. Hey Pat." I say. "Yeah?" He asks.

"Can we be friends? I don't like us avoiding each other." I tell him. "Yeah of course. Well I gotta head back on my way home. Bye." He says with a smile as he walks away.

I sit on the curb and pull my knees up to my chest, resting my head on them. I drift off into a light sleep.

A while later I'm pulled out of my sleep by a cop car siren. When I lift up my head I see a cop speeding down the street past me. I get up and run after it.

It stops only a block away in town. The cops jumps out and goes toward an alley. I see yellow tape blocking it off.

I walk over to the crowd of people surrounding the area and ask someone what's going on.

"Someone else was murdered." They tell me. "Do you know who?" I ask them. "Nope." They say.

I walk over to the tape and call Mr. Richardson's (Coby's dad, chief of police) name. He sees me and walks over.

"Hello Abbi. I'd love to talk but I'm a bit busy." He tells me. "I just wanna ask one question." I tell him.

"Ok." He says. "Who was it?" I ask. "I don't think I should tell you." He says.

"Why? Please Mr. Richardson!" I plead. "Ok... It was Sarah." He tells me.

I just freeze up. My mind goes crazy with thoughts and tears fall from my eyes.

My world goes black.

I don't realize I'm falling forward until Mr. Richardson catches me.

"Abbi! Abbi!" He calls as he shakes me. My eyes flutter open but when I try to move I can't. He puts my arm over his shoulder and brings me to the ambulance.

"Can you check her. She blacked out when she heard the news." He tells someone.

When I look up I realize it's my mom. "Oh honey. I'm so sorry about Sarah." She tells me as she checks my state and everything.

"You're fine. Just in shock." She tells me. Then a cop walks up to us.

"Are you Abigail Carson?" She asks. "Yes that's me." I say.

"Well I'm gonna need you to go down to the police station with me." She tells me. "Why?" My mom asks.

"She's known everyone of the victims. We need her help with the case. We are bringing her friends in too." She says. I walk away with her and get in the back of her police car.

When we get to the station I'm put in an interrogation room, then I'm left alone.

About 10 minutes later Mr. Richardson comes in. He sits down across from me.

"I'm afraid I wasn't completely honest with you earlier Abbi." He says. "What?" I ask confused.

"Well it wasn't just Sarah. It was Sarah and Christy." He says as he gets quiet towards the end. "Oh please tell me this isn't real." I say as I lay my head down and cry.

"I have to ask you some questions. We have a couple suspects in mind but we need your help to figure out who did this." He says. "Ok." I tell him.

"Where were Pat, James, and Justice at tonight?" He asks. "Well Pat was at Scarlett's with everyone else. But I don't know where Justice and James were." I tell him.

"Around what time did Pat leave?" He asks. "A little after me, so around like 7:00." I tell him.

"Do you know where he went?" He asks. "He was on his way home. He lives more in town." I say.

"Did he have to walk by the barber shop on his way home?" He asks. "Yes. He walks that way then a little further down until he gets to his street." I say.

"Ok. Well that's all we need from you right now Abbi. Thank you." He says. "No problem." I say as we walk out and I meet my mom in the waiting room.

Our drive home is spent in silence. When I get home I go up to my room.

I end up spending the whole night crying my eyes out.
