Unknown POV

As I'm walking home I keep feeling like someone's watching me. So I pick up my pace. After a minute I hear footsteps. I turn around but there's no one there. So I start to walk in a very fast pace. When I do I hear the footsteps get faster. I turn a corner and hide behind a trash can. In this second it seems that the whole world is silent. But then the silence is broken by someone running around the corner. I hear them walk past the trash can and keep going, so I let out a sigh of relief. After a couple of minutes I get up and walk back the direction I came. That's when someone grabs me from behind. They put a cloth over my mouth, so I start struggling to break free. But after a few seconds I'm forced to breath in and I slowly feel myself slip into darkness.

Abbi's POV

After leaving the police station we go back to Scarlett's house. I'm too nervous to be alone so Scarlett's says I can stay at her house until my dad is caught.

We sit on the couch and Scarlett goes to Netflix.

"What do you wanna watch?" She asks. "I don't know, maybe something funny." I tell her. "What about Pitch Perfect?" She asks. "That's perfect." I say happily.

As I'm watching it I can feel my mood lighting up.

Coby's POV

I'm woken up from my nap by my dog barking in the backyard. I sleepily get up and walk to my bathroom. After going pee I head downstairs.

My dog is still barking loudly so I yell at him to shut up although he probably didn't hear me. I grab a Mountain Dew from the fridge then sit at the island in my kitchen and read a note that's on the counter.

Coby, I got called into work for a meeting. I probably won't be back until late. And your father has the night shift at the hospital today. So I'll see you most likely tomorrow.

Love Mom

My mom and dad are always getting caught up at work, so I don't give the note a second glance before throwing it away.

I realize that my dog is still barking so I open the sliding glass door and yell at him. After yelling at him I look into my backyard and immediately scream out in horror.

Hanging from the tree in my backyard is Meredith's lifeless body.

I grab a knife from my kitchen and run over to the tree. I can't reach the rope so I climb up the tree until I get to it then I cut it. Meredith's body falls to the ground and I immediately fall down next to her.

I start screaming for help, until my neighbor Charles comes running into my backyard. He sees Meredith and immediately calls 911.

It seemed like with in seconds the cops arrived and the ambulance. They took Meredith away, but I insisted to go with her so I rode in the ambulance.

When we got to the hospital they went in, but they had already pronounced her dead, so they just took her down to the morgue. When her parents arrived they immediately came to me asking questions.

"Where is she?" Her mother asked.

"Is she okay?" Her dad asked.

"She.... She's dead." I tell them between my sobs.

Her mom falls to the ground and her dad crouches down next to her. After a minute her dad looks up at me.

"Where is she?" He asks. "The morgue." I tell him. "Okay. It's probably best if we're alone with her, so you should go home now. Thank you for being here." Her dad says. After they head down to the morgue I head back to my house.

Abbi's POV

When Scarlett and I are almost done watching Pitch Perfect both of our phones go off at the same time. "That's weird." I say before answering mine.

"Hello." I say. "Hello Abbi, it's Mr. Richardson." The caller says. "Oh, is this about my father?" I ask. "Yes, but there's something else too." He says.

"What is it?" I ask. "Well the first thing is we put out a search warrant for your father. But the second is..." He trails off. "Is what?" I ask.

"Meredith was murdered. I'm so sorry." He says. "I have to go." I say before hanging up and I immediately start crying.

I look over at Scarlett and see her crying too, so I know that she already knows.

"Was that Coby?" I ask. "Yeah." She says through her tears. I move over and we both hug each other. We just stay like this for a long time.

But I know that soon I'll have to get up. Because my father is dying very soon by my hands, and I won't have it any other way.
