Your POV

Once you awoke, Dark was actually still there! But... you need to finally heal those humans he has trapped. Silently, you try slip out of bed, realizing you're holding hands! But you did that when you had the nightmare, how do you still have his palm in yours? There must be some kind of force that really wants you both to stay together. Reluctantly, you pried yourself from Dark's clasp, thankfully not waking him, and rushing to the changing room and threw on the clothes inside. Then, you grab the medkit from under the bed, blushing at the memories of last night.

Neither PewDIE nor Anti were waiting outside the bedroom, you were relieved to see, and you darted to the throne room.

You hit the button and darted down. They were all as relieved to see you as ever, but more so with the medicine in your arms. You spent a good hour, cleaning everyone's scars and fixing one's Dark wouldn't noticed were repaired. Once you did all you could, they expressed their thank-you's as you darted upstairs, closing the trap door behind you and hiding the med kit behind a curtain in the room.

Afterwards, you went into the library, taking a seat on the large chair in front of the unlit fireplace, it's still day after all. You pull out the books PewDIE and Anti gave you when you were in the village and open them up. Everything on there just looked like scribbles, how can someone bring out a coherent statement out of it?!

"You've been on the same page for ten minutes now," you hear the familiar voice of PewDIE say. He really had a way of coming out of nowhere and giving you a heart attack. This time, he was stood at the very top of the ladder that allows you to reach the top shelves.

"Oh, y-yes..." you try not to provoke more need for questioning.

"You don't know how to read, do you," he observed, rather than asked, sliding down from the top of the ladder, back to the floor.

"No..." you sigh, admitting defeat instead of prolonging the truth. "I never received an education, but I find the history so interesting,"

"Then I can teach you," He uses magic to summon the table towards him, a globe, a chair and a few papers already on it. "Go on, pull up a chair," He took the chair off the table and placed it on the floor, taking a seat on it.

You do as you're told and place the book on the table. "Okay, so let's start with the basics,"

And that was how you're next few days played out. You'd go heal up the rebels, then meet PewDIE in the library by midday to continue learning to read. Then when the clock chimed 21:00, you would return to your bedroom and sleep by the time Dark came and slept next to you.

By now, PewDIE had helped you read the first chapter, where it established that humans actually ruled the earth, until a demon possessed a human and managed to get them to summon all the demons to earth. Then there was a large war where humans lost. The demon that got the human to summon them all soon took the throne and ruled the entire planet. But that was centuries ago. And PewDIE never mentioned the name of the demon or human, meaning he either didn't want you know, or it simply didn't say.

One night, when PewDIE had excused himself and gone to bed, you move the armchair back in front of the fire and swiftly drifted to sleep, the book on your lap.

Dark POV

After another grooling day of ruling this doomed planet, I reminded myself that I have one week until work will die down a bit, meaning I can finally begin with seducing my kitten. She'll never want to stay unless she feels she has something to stay for, and I want to be that thing.
