Your POV

Dark and you had not spoken, nor interacted, since he so furiously punched the screen. He sat only centimeters away from Mark's view of the outside world, eyes locked with every movement. As for you, you were sat several meters away from him, gazing at the desolate pitch horizon beyond you. Every now and again, you were sure that you had somehow accidentally ended up closing your eyes, and that's what you were looking at, or perhaps you had gone blind. But, the constant golden glow emitting from your clothes and skin reminded you otherwise, as well as your quick but regular glances to Dark (who, unlike you, possessed no glow. Instead he seemed to blend perfectly into the shadows)

Despite this, your ears did not fail, as you heard Mark and... White's outrageous plan. You did not expect it to work, which was your only method of keeping calm; however they then got the idea to hunt down the HHO. At this point, you still clung desperately onto the idea that it was possible the HHO might turn them out, and not harm them, nor buy into their schemes.

At this moment, Mark and White were resting, in the floor of the forest, surrounding a campfire close to their destination.

Getting to your feet, you let out a breathy sigh and replayed your idea over in your head: you were going for a walk. You knew perfectly well that there would be nothing but darkness ahead, but that did not stop you. Besides, there was always the possibility of escape.

Dark POV

Mark's eyes closed, as he lay by the fire, meaning he was preparing to sleep. I was astonished to find that everything was then plunged into a thick gloom, especially considering Kitten's glow. However, as I turned to make sure she was okay, I realized she had gone.

My mind instantly spiralled into panic, disturbing thoughts (such as her somehow being harmed, or kidnapped) popped into my brain. Well, it was not as if Mark had any other personalities I would have to worry about. Either way, I was never really sure of this inner world within Mark.

A idea came to me, though, one I have been dwelling on since my arrival here, and I think I should do before commencing my search of Kitten.

Now that I'm my whole self again, this shouldn't be too hard. My eyes closed, breath became steady, and mind turned void, allowing darkness to consume me.

"What are you doing here?" The voice carried such bitterness, but it assured me that my spell had indeed worked. I opened my eyes, to see Mark in front of me, while White was fast asleep beside him. I turned my gaze down to my hands, seeing that drips of black were emitting from me, and flying up into the sky; as though I were leaking black ink, only it disobeyed the laws of gravity and fell the other way. It was a constant reminder that I could not stay here long.

"Pleasure to see you too, old friend," I teased, even though I wasn't much in the teasing mood.

"We are not friends, so get to the point, before I try to kill you," he sat up, face boiling with rage.

"You know that is impossible, when I am in this form, but if you insist," my heel turned to face the burning embers of the campfire. With a flick of the wrist, the flames were roaring, and formed into the shape of a chair, once I flicked my wrist again. I sat myself down upon it, now piercing my gaze with Mark. Neither of us enjoyed one another's company, let alone feared each other, so I had full intentions of making this as brief as possible. "I will give you the directions to the rift, if you allow me to possess your body and put (Y/n)'s soul back in her body. And afterwards, I'll even allow you to control your body again,"

Mark let out a snobby scoff, causing my fists to automatically clench up in fury, "Nice try, but no," and he lay back down.
