Now, I believe introductions are in order.
I'm Anjali. I have a glitter addiction, cool magical powers, wings that change color to my mood and a really positive attitude.
My boyfriend is Elijah. He was a Timelord with a tendency to go missing a little too much for my liking. He was usually in the Tardis engine room, making adjustments to his pride and joy. He was sweet, sincere, and scarily powerful.
Sophia was my best friend. She was the bride to be of Gabriel the arch angel. My best friend also had a real talent for drawing and a passion for history. Along with Chloe, Sophia was a hunter, meaning she kept the demons at bay. I constantly kept Gabe on his toes, mostly because Sophia deserved the best. I trusted him, but he didn't need to know that...
Mary, aka Satan, was either very sweet and loyal to her friends, or wanted to kill us all, depending on what part of her- light or dark- was more dominate at the time. She was married to Sherlock Holmes, and they had a daughter who was one year old. Her name was Christine Lydia Holmes, and she was a cutie.
Chloe and Harry were dating. Chloe was the daughter of Harley Quinn and Loki. She was incredibly mischievous, and sometimes her loyalty could be questioned. In the end, she was always on out side. She wore a red fedora marked with fandom buttons.
Harry had cool tentacles from being possessed by a monster who we called Freckles. He had a fedora similar to Chloe's, but his was green. Had Chloe not existed, Harry probably would have made love to his memes instead.
Lucas was a former Furby Lord, who had awesome powers. Lucas could teleport easily, and with powers similar to blue laser beams, he could place anyone anywhere. If you couldn't find Lucas anywhere in a crowd, look for his Stephen Universe beanie. You'll find him.
I walked into the kitchen as Mary was finishing up the cake.
"Alice and Femme both had to go, so I'm frosting the rest of this."
I nodded and grabbed a juice box.
Suddenly, Gabe walked in. "I swear to Dad if I get one more email about bridal showers-"
"Uncle Gabe! The cake! Does it look good?" Mary asked.
Without looking up, Gabe muttered; "Yeah yeah, it looks great."
Mary, satisfied, nodded and went back to icing the top. I however followed Gabe out of the room.
"That was unlike you." I pointed out.
"Eh?" He sounded very un-Gabriel like.
"You didn't even look at the cake. The Gabe I know would not only look at it, but lick the spoon and say it needs more frosting, even if we had used all the frosting in the world. What's up?"
"Nothing, kid. Go back to your glitter."
I frowned. Now I was angry.
"Gabe, you're marrying my best friend on-"
"Sunday! Yeah! I know!"
I frowned. "Saturday."
He froze. "That's what I said."
"No, you said Sunday."
"So? People make mistakes!"
"Gabe, you care about Sophia. You wouldn't just forget the date of your wedding!"
Gabe sighed. Finally, he turned around.
"Look, kid. I made a simple mistake. Things have been hectic lately, and I'm nervous about my wedding. I didn't mean to mess up, I've been so out of character due to my nerves. I just want to give the girl who is my everything, everything. Okay?"
We stood in the hall, silent and waiting. Finally, I stood down and gave him the benefit of the doubt. "I'm sorry." I said.
He smiled. "It's alright. Help me later with the wedding preparations, yeah?"
We shared a smile and we walked upstairs.
"That was sweet of you." Sophia said behind me.
I jumped. "Sofa! How long have you been there?"
She laughed. "Long enough. Thanks for going easy on him."
I laughed. "Just this once, of course." I added a wink for good measure.
She groaned. "The flowers are here. Want to see?"
"Of course!"
With our arms linked, we walked outside.
