Sophia stood at the top of the stairs, looking down at the grand doors to lead her to the room in which she would turn into a married woman. For the first time ever, she felt confident about this wedding. Perhaps that adventure last week was useful. It made her feel powerful, and even happier that she was marrying Gabriel.

Slowly, she walked downstairs. As she entered the doorway, people gasped. Her dress was breathtaking. It was white, of course, with gray bows along the skirt. On the top, there was a gray bow holding it all together. There were small diamonds studded on the top as well, making her sparkle under the light of the chandelier.

"Wow

"Wow.." Someone whispered next to me. Gabe stood, transfixed, at his bride. He adjusted his gray tux, and straightened the navy jacket. He looked a little flustered.

Gracefully, Sophia walked until she stood in front of him, and blushed. Gabe took her hands, and whispered something I could not make out. Whatever it was, it must have pleased her, because she beamed even more.

"And now, the vows."

"Alright." Gabe shook his hands. "I've never had a way with words, but here I go. Sophia, when I first met you, I didn't know you were going to be this important to me. But, as I got to know you, something in my gut could predict something beautiful was going to happen. You make me laugh when my smile is broken, and feel whole when I've been emptied. After a long, stressful day, I know I can come home and you'll be there waiting, with candy and history puns to make me smile, and fall in love with you all over again." They chuckled. "Sugar, I love you. I don't regret one thing that's happened on the way to this moment, because they all led to this moment. Thank you for saying yes."

I wiped my eyes with my thumb. When had I started to cry?

Sophia looked tearful, too. "Oh Gabe, I have no words. I'm speechless. I promise to devote my life to you, through whatever may come our way. The moment you took out that ring pop as proposed when we were on the verge of death was the greatest of my life. I know things won't be easy for us, especially not after the past week, but I'd rather fight for my life with you then be safe with someone else. I will take care of you, love you, devote myself to you, with God as my witness."

Chuck waved from the front row. "That's me!"

We chucked, and the priest began his ceremony.

"Do you, Gabe, take this lovely woman to be your wife, through sickness and through health...."

"I do."

"And you, Sophia, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, through sickness and through health...."

"I do."

"Very well. You may now kiss the bride."

Gabe and Sophia grabbed one another and locked lips. Everyone clapped, and the Hamilteam cheered at the top of their lungs. Even little Lydia squealed from her father'a lap in the front row.

After about a minute, they let go. Everyone was strangely quiet.

"Ah, young love." Chuck smiled.

We laughed. "What are we waiting for? Let's party!" Sophia yelled.
