"Sugar, stay with me."

Sophia picked up bee head, her eyelids feel heavy. She wants to sleep, but she can't. If she does, she may never wake up again. Using the empathy link had taken too much out of her, she could only hope it hadn't done the same to Anji.

Micheal sauntered in, smiling. "Just left your friends' place. I have to admit, it's nice there, roomy. It'll be even more roomy after I end your ties with them." He leaned in. "Which should be soon."

So what if he was Gabe's older brother? Sophia spat in his face.

Micheal grimaced and wiped it off. "That the best you've got, pumpkin?"

"Well, since you've tied me to this wall here and made sure I was so weak I could hardly breathe, yeah, it is the best I've got. But my friends? They'll pummel you." Sophia growled.

Gabe shifted uncomfortably, and muttered; "You didn't have to tie me up, too."

"Yes I did." Micheal argued. "You two can't be together. If Sophia has kids, they'll be way too powerful and end the world. If I destroy Sophia and wipe your memories, brother, you'll remember nothing of the Hamilteam. It's full proof!"

"What is it with villainous character and monologues?" Sophia muttered.

"Since I've wiped your pals memory of the link, there's no way you can communicate."

It took a lot for Sophia not to smile. There was hope. No doubt the team was on their way now.

Gabe shared a look with her and took her hand.

"Well, I best be off, have to work up that memory charm, make it nice and strong for you, lil bro!" Micheal poofed up a lollipop, licking it as he walked out.

"He wants what's best for me. He just sucks at it." Gabe frowned.

Sophia wanted to argue, but it would have done no good. Micheal had woken her up a bit, and she felt ready for a fight, letting the adrenaline course through her veins.

"They're coming, I know they are." She said.

Gabe kissed her. "I don't doubt it, Sugar."

She kissed him back, softly at first, then passionately. When she pulled away, she saw a faded calendar on the wall filled with all of Micheal's important dates. She realized what day it was then.

"Happy wedding day." She said softly. Instead of marrying the man of her dreams, she was sitting in a cold, dark, warehouse, tied to him in rough, uncomfortable roles. She could not prevent the tears rolling down her face.

Gabe kissed her cheek. "I would rather be here with you, instead of marrying someone else and living in peace, Sugar."

Sophia smiled. "Me too."

Her friends were coming. They were going to fight Micheal, keep Gabe's memories. Then, she'd get married to the best fiancé alive.
