"So, Caine, where do we go now?" Naomi asked. He sighed softly "I think it's time we go to the rebellion base, do you agree?" She bites her lip, thinking "Hm, yes, I do, it's probably the only safe place at this point." Caine nods in agreement "When should we head out?" "Soon, first we have to lose the trail of the royal cocksucker." Caine nodded slowly, rubbing his chin in thought "I know of a nearby town we can hide in, are you ready?" Naomi nodded quickly "Yeah, let's go!" She started walking faster, with Caine right behind her.
They soon reached the town of Ganden, they walked to the inn to get a room and food, when they finished eating they went upstairs to rest. "So, where is the base?" Caine asked as he fiddled with a knife "In the Carp mountains." His eyes widen in surprise "So far away? Hm, that explains why the rebels were so hard to find." He mused. Naomi looks over at him "Did you try looking for us?" He nods "Once, it was the only mission I failed" She giggled "Well thank goodness for that failure." He nodded, chuckling "Indeed."
Back in the town they had just ran from, Dolan bowed before the king, who growled in displeasure at the news he had just heard "What the hell do you mean they got away?! You're suppose to be the best damn tracker in the kingdom!" Dolan flinches at the loud voice directed at him "Y-yes, but, Caine always was better than me" He looks down in fear, scared of what the king would do next. The king sighs, then leans back in his chair "Maybe it's best I send someone else after these rebels" Dolan quickly looks up "No, my Lord, please give me another chance! I will not fail you a second time!" The king growled "For your sake, Dolan, I hope not."
