When Kira escaped from Josiah, and was talking to Itami, Marco & Ace about how she was going to take him out of her life, she was tapping the table in a specific order. This turned out to be the Vietnam war tap code, a code that was used during the Vietnam war when prisoners were kept in brigs, and weren't allowed to talk so they developed a tap code to communicate to each other.
Because Itami & Kira learnt it together, Kira had told Itami through this code, that she was going to kill Josiah
