Third pov

A bedroom's peaceful silence was interrupted by a iPhone alarm going off. Immediately, Alice shut off her alarm. She looked at the time on her phone.

'5:30am, just enough time for me to go for a early morning run.'

Alice sat up, her long, wavy, inky black hair sliding down past her shoulders. She stretched, and yawned. She looked over to her calendar, and stared at the date.

'February 20th....today is my birthday.'

She got up, and put on a sports bra, a white sports singlet, black running tights, a pair of nike socks, and a black vest with long sleeves. Alice stuffed her earphones, and her phone in her pocket. She tied her hair up in a high pony tail, and snuck out of her room, and tip toed downstairs. She could tell that everyone in her family was still asleep. She ate a muesli bar, grabbed a her water bottle, and went over to the front door. She put on her black & purple running shoes, and then left the house.

'Most people don't like early morning running, but I like doing early morning running...it feels good, its the only time I get to really be alone. There's never usually anyone up this early unless they're going to work, but either way..I love it.'

Alice started early morning running when she first started high school. Before she started high school, she did running after school every day for about an hour max. But in her early morning runs, she'd run to the park, do a lap of the park, and then run back home. It usually would take around about an hour and 20 minutes all together.

Later, she made it to the park. When she & her older brother, Creed, were kids, they used to come to this park with their parents. Alice could vividly remember as she ran down the concrete path, and past the trees, how she & Creed would run around, playing tag together with their Dad, while their Mother would take videos, and laugh as she manned their picnic area. Alice ran by the playground, and stopped to take a drink. She sat down on the swings, and drank some water.

But, just as Alice was about to start running again, her phone rang. She saw that it was her brother that was calling.

"Hello?" She answered. "I figured you'd be out on your run." Creed greeted. Alice smiled, "Of course." Creed chuckled, "At least you're actually going out, and doing stuff. Mums already up, and Dad is just waking up now." Creed spoke, yawning in between. "I take it that I should come back now?" Alice asked. "Bingo!" Creed laughed, "See ya soon." "See ya."

Alice hung up, and sprinted back home. It didn't take long since Alice was a fast runner. She got home later, and as soon as she opened the door, she was greeted by her Mother, Itami, through one of her life threatening hugs. "Happy birthday, girl!" Itami cheered. Alice felt like she was being suffocated by her Mother, her face was turning blue. Coming around the corner, was Alice's Father, Ace. "Itami you're suffocating her!" Ace cautioned. Itami let go of Alice, a embarrassed blush on her cheeks, "I can't help it! My baby girl is growing up!" Itami cried. Alice smiled softly, and hugged her Mother, "Thank you, Mum." Itami gently hugged her daughter back, and then pulled away, "Now, how about we come on inside, and have some banofee, yeah?" Itami asked. Alice nodded happily.

They went inside, and Creed sat in the dining room, eyeballing the banofee. As soon as they walked in, Creed rushed over, and hugged his sister, "My baby sister is becoming old~!" Creed cried. Alice sweatdropped, but hugged her brother nonetheless. Creed pulled away, and smiled at Alice, "You're catching up to me!"

They all sat down, and watched as Alice carefully unraveled her wrapping paper, with Creed getting annoyed that Alice wasn't ripping the wrapping paper. From Creed, she got a new pair of ankle boots (ones that she's been dying to get), some new hair ribbons, and (of course), Alice found a picture of Creed doing finger guns in the boot. Creed had laughed, and said, "Just in case if you ever miss me!"
