12 Quick Shinigami facts

1: The main weakness of a Shinigami, is salt. Ocean salt doesn't really affect them that much, as it hasn't been iodised, and cleaned.

2: Whenever Kira's in a fighting scene, there's always either intense opera or piano songs playing in the background

3: All Shinigami of dark blue eyes. Its actually very alien if a shinigami has different coloured eyes.

4: Their first main language in the Underworld, was Latin. That was until one shinigami had brought back the English language, as they had been living there for so long, that they had learnt the language. The language had spread far and wide, and is now more commonly used than Latin. But Latin is still study-able in Shinigami schools

5: In the Underworld realm, a Shinigami has no age. But when they leave the Underworld, they're given a age, based on their appearance

6:The type of Government that the Underworld has, is a Monarchy

7: In the Next Generation book, the readers WILL be able to read about the Underworld more often

8: Shinigami Death weapons chose their wielder accordingly

9: Shinigami found a way to translate their Latin name, into English/Japanese. This means that they have two names, hence why Itami has her other name, Dolor

10: Hell in the Underworld realm, is actually prison

11: There are demons....but they'll be explained later in the Next Generation story

12: Sleep is actually a luxury for Shinigami. They can go for a whole month without sleep. Royals are the only shinigami that sleep the most. Its pretty much the reason why Itami always sleeps in late. As for Kira, she's used to not getting much sleep, so she only ever gets 3 hours worth of sleep (in the canon One piece world)
