Third pov

A loud explosion sent people running. Due to the force, Alice was thrown out the window, and onto the ground. She pants as she laid there, her vision & hearing slightly blurry from the explosion. She could vaguely see the terrorists of the small village emerge from the tavern that just exploded. They roughly picked her up from her midnight black hair, and held her up like a broken doll.

"How you're still alive, is unknown, little Alice. But what gives me great pleasure, is me getting to kill you with my own hands." The crime boss muses. Alice gave him the famous Lucifer glare, "For once I have met someone that makes my blood truly boil. 'Neon Acid' Mercury. You, Mercury-san, committed genocide on multiple islands, even on innocent children...why? WHY DO YOU DO THIS?!" Alice yells. Mercury had a blank stare, "They're useless to my cause. Useless human beings have no right to breathe. Including children." Mercury says with no emotion.

"ALICE!"

Running onto the scene, was Alice's fellow crew members: Blake, Pearl, Creed, Tiberius & Ruby. They all had their weapons out at the ready. Creed & Tiberius's eyes were ablaze with hatred towards Mercury. Blake held onto her whip tightly, before she started running at Mercury. "BLAKE! NO! STAY BACK!" Creed yelled desperately.

Alice watched as Mercury simply yanked at Blakes whip, and proceeded to choke Blake. Tiberius drew his sword, Dinaria, and glared at Mercury. Creed was on his knees in horror, as he stared at his sister & his beloved in terrible danger. "You need to work on not making your crew so week, Tiger Palm Prince. But once I'm done...there'll be nothing left to work on." Mercury said. Blake spluttered, kicking her legs around, she looked over at Alice desperately, who was trying her hardest to not cry, "A...lice...help...me.."

'If I don't do anything..we won't make it out alive! And it'll be all my fault. Just because I wanted revenge on Mercury...I have to do something!'

Alice quickly summoned a pistol, and aimed at Mercury's hand that held Blake. She fired a bullet, and he immediately let go of Blake, howling in pain. Blake gasped & wheezed, trying to regain her breath. Immediately, Creed ran in, and whisked Blake into his arms. Alice then swung herself out of his grip, and kicked him hard in the chest.

Mercury glared at Alice, "Who are you?" He asked. Alice summoned a pair of twin pistols, "Me? I......am 'Demon Rose' Alice, daughter or Portgas D Ace & Lucifer D Roza Itami, and sister of 'Tiger Palm Prince' Creedence. You want force? Bitch, I am the force." Alice turns to her crew members, "Run. I got this." Creed stepped forward, "Alice you're not fighting alone." Alice shook her head, "I'm doing this one alone." "Alice...no..let Creed & I stay." Tiberius begged. "GO!" Alice yelled, "Blake needs to get outta here!"

And with that, the entire crew flee, leaving Alice to fight Mercury. Mercury narrowed his eyes at Alice, acid surrounded him, making it hard to avoid him. "You're a fool, Demon Rose. You would've needed your crew to help fight me." Alice clicked her tongue, "Be careful, if you become too confident, you'll end up biting your words." For once, Mercury smirks, "We'll see about that."

With that, Mercury shot pools of acid at Alice. She found it hard to dodge those puddles, as they'd made of liquid, and would go everywhere. She tried shooting bullets at Mercury, but even her special Shinigami bullets couldn't last, and ended up melting. Alice swore in Italian, and immediately knew that she needed a sea stone object, or a alkaline that'll neutralize the acid pools that were currently being thrown at her.

"Shit!" Alice swore as a whole acid puddle melted a whole crate.

'Damn it, I need something, anything!'

"Alice!"

Running towards her, was Tiberius. She felt relief upon seeing him, and wanted to hug him. Tiberius quickly hauled Alice onto her feet, and they ran behind a stone wall. As soon as they were alone, Tiberius immediately hugged & kissed her. He cupped the back of her head as they hugged, "I couldn't leave you alone." He said. "I'm glad you came. Don't tell Creed I said this, but Mercury is actually harder to beat than he looks." Ty then looked around, "Do you know his weaknesses?" She nods, "Yeah, its contact with alkaline & the normal sea stone." He rummaged around, and found a full jar of sea water, "Good thing I always carry this around." Alice smiled, then kissed him, "You cunning genius." He chuckled, "I try for my lady."

"HELP! MAMA!!!"

Upon hearing a child's voice, Alice immediately stood up. Despite Ty's calls, she ignored him, and showed herself to Mercury. Mercury was holding a little girl, his hand over her head. "If you don't show yourself, I'll burn this kid till she's only a pile of bones." Alice glared at him, "Yeah? I'm here! Let go of the child!" "Alice! Get back here-"

"Oh? Back up? Thats unfair, guess I'm gonna have to burn her then-" "NO!"

Just as Mercury was about to activate his acid, Alice punched him in the face, and caught the little girl, then made her run. She caught the jar of sea water that Ty had, then threw it at Mercury. As Mercury got drenched, he pulled out a gun & aimed at the little girl. Alice's eyes went wide, and she ran after the girl.

"ALICE!"

Alice heard the gun shot, and her eyes went wide as it penetrated her. Her eyes were wide as she fell to the ground, blood seeping out of her. "I've been...shot..." she looked up, and saw that the little girl had quickly gotten away, "Thank...god."

And with that, she blacked out.

*timeskip*

Creed immediately jumped when he heard Alice groan. He walked over to her, and watched as she opened her eyes, and finally woke up. Creed felt so happy to see his little sister awake, that he actually started to cry. Alice squinted at Creed. "Creed?" He let out a gasp, and smiled, "Y-yeah! Its me! Your big brother!" She chuckled, "Crying?" He wiped away his tears, "Shut up & let me be glad that you're alive dumbass! What were you thinking back there?! Going against that acid guy?! He could've killed you!" Alice grit her teeth, "He was a monster. He killed innocent people because he claimed them to be useless to him! I couldn't have let him live! Monsters like him..don't deserve to see the light of day!" Alice cried. Creed inwardly let out a breath, "I know that...but you could've at least asked for back up."

Alice looked over to her brother, "Creed..I know. I realize that now. I shouldn't be so reckless. But I couldn't let him leave!" Alice said. Creed smiles, "I know, its okay." He carefully hugged Alice, "I was just...worried about you."
