Fast forward 2 hours.

The dress was uncomfortable, to say the least. It fit my body well, but honestly, it felt odd to not be wearing pants. It made me think, is this what it's like for Wonder Woman to wear normal clothes? It was really breezy, though, and I shivered from the coldness. My knees knocked together, and I bit my lip. Despite this, Cathy still made me lean my head back.

Cathy made me take a shower, and currently was running product through my hair. I hated it, but I liked the coolness. She brushed through my hair for what seemed liked the millionth time.

"This is taking forever," I say under my breath. Cathy laughs.

"Well, your hair is kind of a disaster zone. Your lucky this is taking me only an hour." She chuckles, weaving her fingers through my hair. Did I mention the shower took an hour? Cathy made me wash my hair, like, 6 times. (Okay, I'm over reacting a little. But still!)

"Okay." I mumble, leaning my head back further.Cathy mumbled something under her breath. 20 minutes later, she gasped.

"Your hair. It's...gorgeous!" She squealed and I rose a brow, leaning forward and getting up.

In the mirror, there was a pale girl in a pink dress and, where I expected to be my usual birds nest, was actually a beautiful halo of glossy blonde curls. I was shocked. Then, obviously, my glasses and plain face hit me like a brick wall.

"That's true. It's a miracle that it didn't take you six hours. But I my face kind of throws the whole thing off, don't you think?" I say, and I frown.

Cathy smiles wildly, although. She sprints down the stairs and comes back with a glittery pink bag. I raise a brow.

"Thank god I carry my makeup everywhere." She says, flipping her chocolate hair. She purses her lips.

"Do those glasses make your eyes look bigger?"

"Um, no?" I say, and she takes them off and studies my face, though all I can see is a brownish blur. I squint.

"Wow. You have huge eyes. Almost buggish." She says, and I reach blindly for the comfort behind my thick glasses.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. Can I have my glasses back now? It's annoying not being able to see anything." I say, and hold out my hand.

"I'm over here, sweety." A voice says from the left. I blush, but stick my hand in that general direction. Cathy places them in my hand, and I quickly put them back on, grateful for the crystal clear picture of Cathy. I smile.

"Thank you."

"Don't you have contacts?" She asks, pulling out things from the pink sparkle bag. I shrug.

"Yeah, but they itch like crazy." I say, "I tried them in once in the summer before 7th grade, remember?  I couldn't stand them."

She wrinkled her nose in distaste. "Oh, I remember. You would not stop bitching." She smirks all knowningly, like Cathy actually knows the irritating feeling. I sigh, but don't comment.
