*Sobs* I lost a fan. Because I'm guessing it's because of my slow writing, I wrote two chapters after this one. That's right. I'm that desperate to keep y'all.

It's the weekend now. Currently Sunday. I've asked Lyric, my brother's girlfriend, to come over along with Cathy. Those two are beauty queens. I spent all of yesterday buying new clothes, so my savings are pretty much shot. I was going to use those for a jaw dropping comic-con costume, but I feel like this is more important. I hear the doorbell ring, and I giddly get up and skip to the door.

Cathy and Lyric stand in the doorway, Lyric with a giant smile on her face.

"Hi, Danika. Thanks for inviting me," she said, brushing hair out of her face. Only then do I notice how pretty she truly is. Long eyelashes, deep brown eyes, and curly red hair. I see the appeal my brother feels for her.

I smile back. "Thanks for coming."

"So, should we get started?" Cathy said, flipping her hair over her shoulder. I notice she and Lyric have full bags of what I'm assuming is makeup. I retained my smile, stepping out of the way to let them in.

We all march up to my room, which is filled with ridiculous new clothes that I based off of Cathy's style. Mostly just shorts, skirts, but mainly pants. Nothing exciting in the shrit catagory, but at least it doesn't have a comic book character on it.

Not to say I got rid of those. Hell no. I love those t-shirts! And I even bought a Captain America tank top...

"Well, at least you have the clothes part down," Cathy says, looking at the new clothes. I shrug.

"What do you need help on, anyway?" Lyric's voice adds, and I shrug again because I don't know.

"Everything, I suppose," I say, tugging on my hair. Lyric and Cathy giggle credulously.

"We aren't genies. But I can totally help with the makeup," Lyric says, a slight laugh in her voice. Cathy raises a brow at her.

"Pardon, but I am part genie. Speak for yourself, hun. Anyway, you know what I can do with your hair. So lets get started," Cathy says, pulling out hair products I don't recognize at all. Lyric, in turn, pulls out unfamiliar make up, though I know a little more about that from Cathy.

Lyric decides to go first. She studies my face, then looks down at her makeup, then back at me again. I'm wearing my contacts today, since I'm trying to get used to wearing them, so she doesn't have to yell about my glasses.

"You have really big eyes," she mumbles, and Cathy nodds accordingly, giggling. I stick out my tongue.

"And? At least I don't have heat vision. That would definitely be cool in AP World History, though," I say with a giggle, because that sounds hilarious. I mean, come on. Your teacher would totally flip.

Lyric and Cathy stare back at me, looking unamused and annoyed. I raise my eyebrow.

"What?"

"You want to get into Austin's little preppy circle, right?"

"Yeah?"

"No more heat vision jokes." I think for a moment.

"Can I at least make x-ray vision jokes?"

They remained unamused.

Point taken, I think bitterly, because I'm pretty sure they wouldn't like my impression of Wolverine in space, either. (By the way, it's pretty awesome.)

"Fine. But I am not giving up my Pikachu. Or my comic books," I mumble. Lyric frowns.

"Look, hun, I think you're great just the way you are now. And I know for a fact Sam and Cathy love you. But I don't think the girl you want to be is really... well, you. Are you sure you want to do this? It could end badly," Lyric says, putting a comforting hand on my shoulder. I frown deeply.
