we need to talk about moana!!!

okay so if you have not seen it there will be spoilers watch out also do yourself a favour and go watch it its amazing

moana is so important and i feel like its under appreciated

i have watched it six times now and i love it more and more each time

fun fact: she aint no princess, not that that would take away from the story i would just like to point out that she is in fact the next in like to be the village chief but she isnt a princess

also i never knew i needed dwayne johnson singing in my life till it happened like wow what a guy

also i am in love with auli'i caravelho ???? she is the purest person ever oh my god she melts my heart

but moana is important bc its about so many things!! its about not forgetting who you are and where you come from, its about fighting for your loved ones, following what you believe in and having faith in your gut instinct

like moana is no damsel in distress, SHE finds maoi and HE needs her, it takes him a while to realise it but he eventually does

see maoi didnt value himself without his hook but once he gets it back and it doesnt work he realises that maybe he doesnt need his hook to be great

also the songs????? amazing. 10/10.

how far i'll go will be stuck in my head forever and im okay with that

yknow when she sings that song while trying to put the heart of te fiti back and the lines are like "i have travelled the horizon to find you / i know your name / they have stolen the heart thats inside you"

idk man that song just gives me chills

and in the song i am moana when she just belts out I AM MOANAAAAAA just yes girl you go

and the whole build up in that song and its like 'but that call isnt out there at all its inside me' just yes. yes. more of that.

we all knew lin manuel miranda was a genius but damn!!!!!!! love him what a great dude

i'd like to thank him personally so lin my dude you're great keep doing what you're doing pls continue to create musical masterpieces
