Dove raced around her room, stuffing all the new clothes her mom got her into each drawer that had any sort of space. Most of the clothes she never wore, so she had a constant temptation to pack bags up and giving one to each of the homeless people around her area. They were all nice people and she wanted to give back for their non-stop kindness. She just thought it was the best thing to do.
"Dove! You have an email!" Her mother called out from her office. Dove smiled and jumped out of her room. Her adrenaline pulsed through her veins as she grabbed her laptop from the coffee table and plopped down on the couch. "Is it Max?" Dove held up a finger for a quick second as she opened her email and nodded quickly once she saw his name flash in her eyes.
It only took her a few seconds to finish reading his email. She smiled happily to herself, not caring that her mother watched her with a satisfied smirk plastered onto her lips. It took Dove months to open up to Max, but after she did, he was her best friend. She never had a better friend than him and fortunately for her, he made her day a thousand times better.
She cracked her knuckles before she pressed the reply button and began to type.
'Dear...what's your name again because I forgot?
Just kidding, Bob the Builder.
Oh okay fine...for Pete's sake!
Okay okay sorry. You're the Maximus of the west!
We should meet in the summer in Fargo or something. Since you live south there and I live north. I mean, I live in Canada and you live in the states.
It will be so much fun!
I'll have to talk to my mom but that's never really an issue.
Also, I have been meaning to ask this for a while now. But how is your family?
Oh...and thanks for being there for me.
Okie!
Bye for now!
Your loveliest weirdo,
Dove.'
