Dove raced through the front door with so much excitement, she nearly forgot to close it behind her. Her mom whizzed around quick enough to see her bolt down the hall toward her bedroom and grinned before going back to cooking dinner. Dove threw her bag by her bedroom door and then grabbed her laptop so she could send back an email to Max. He had written her two days ago and she had been swamped with too much homework to reply. But now, it was the weekend and nothing was due for Monday.

'Dear Maxi,

I cannot be sorrier than I am at this very second. School has been awful and they won't stop throwing homework in my face. You'd think they would treat teenagers with more respect but it's almost as if they could care less. Math, Science, English, the list continues. I am beyond lucky to have a break this weekend so I can just focus on writing to you.

Did I mention I still wish we could meet face to face? You are always such an amazing person in your letters and I'm so curious on how'd you act in person. What do you often think about?

I always assumed that you have this dirty blond, messy hair, that somehow suits you. And you have greenish blue eyes, and you have the slightest dimples whenever you smile. I don't know why, you just kind of make me see someone with those features. Is that a bad thing? How do you see me most of the time?'

"Dove, it's time for dinner!" Dove groaned and finished her letter as quickly as she could.

'Can't write much more right now, but I hope to get a message back whenever I end up logging back on. See ya, weirdo.

Your favourite,

Dove.'

"I'm coming, mom!" Dove hollered before she pressed the send button and bolted out of her room. The entire house was filled with a delicious smell that Dove knew by heart. Chicken Pot Pie. Yum. Dove almost had an addiction to the stuff, especially when her mom made it. It's like her drug. Okay, not literally, but you get the point.

And then there she was, eating her dinner as she wondered just how Max would reply.
