Dipper's pov

Mabel and I ran after them. The way they left was too suspicious to ignore. We followed them to a van parked just off the road. After they climbed in I knocked hard on the back door. After a few knocks the girl with the short brown hair opened the door.
"What do you want?"

"Why did you run?"

She looked back and forth between me and Mabel, then back at the guys sitting in the front seat watching.
"I'd like to know myself."

The shorter of the two guys, the one with the shaggy brown hair, spoke up.
"We were about to explain before you two interrupted."

Mabel smiled at the guy. I think she freaked him out a little, she has that effect on guys sometimes.
"Well explain now."

The other guy sighed.
"Sir, something tells me they aren't going to leave. As much as I hate telling people I think we have no choice."

I was curious now.
"Before you explain, who are you?"

The brown haired guy smiled, something told me that may have been the wrong thing to ask.
"I am JOHNNY GHOST! Paranormal Investigator Extraordinaire! And this," He gestured to the other guy, "Is my partner Johnny Toast."
Johnny Toast nodded.

I pointed to the girl.
"And you are?"

"Ebony Jones. I'm temporarily working with them."

"Until you find your girlfriend," Mabel chimed in.

Ebony looked startled.
"How did you know that?"

Mabel laughed.
"I saw how you looked at that picture of her." Her tone changed to comforting. "You really want to find her. Don't you?"

Ebony turned away.
"So what were you gonna explain?"

Toast, weird name, sighed again, something told me he did that a lot.
"The man mister... Dipper was it?"

I nodded.

"Was my twin brother, Gavin. At least, I assume it was him. Fid my look alike have a scar on the right side of his face?"

Mabel nodded.
"Yeah, he did."

"It was him then. If Miss Annabelle is with him then she's in trouble. My brother is a criminal and a crook. In fact, he's supposed to be in jail. I better call my sister."
He got out and walked a little ways off before dialing his phone.

Ghost groaned.
"He's going to be busy for awhile. Jenny could talk the ears off a parrot."

Something still didn't make sense, and I could tell Mabel was thinking the same thing.
"Why did Gavin need to know how to kill a vampire?"
