The clouds were angry and so it began to shower,

It's the first time it rained for longer than an hour.

I sat by the window and watched as it rained away,

Everything wet, no one outside, and the sky was gray.

Oh, what beauty I saw in the raindrops as they fell,

Even after it stopped raining it left a little smell.

I never want the sun to come up, I just want it to rain,

I feel different at the sight of it, it takes away my pain.

Sometimes I walk with the rain, like it's a friend,

I watch without caring how much time I spend.

It's like the rain lures me to it, causing me to stay,

Like it's calling me outside to go and play.

Jump in puddles, or catch drops on my tongue,

I'm all older now, I did that when I was young.

Now I just watch from the window as I think,

I feel like I'm sinking with every blink.

The rain gives me a very depressing feeling,

But yet again, it's my only real healing.
