Poem 101

You left and took a piece of my heart with you,

Days with you gone, I'm feeling alone and blue.

On the way to recovery, you were getting better,

You forgot about pain and your suicide letter.

You smiled, laughed, and sang from your heart,

I sat back, watched you, and loved your art.

But that all changed when your soul left me,

Your lifeless body was too much for me to see.

I had a dream about you the day before,

I didn't think much of it, but a dream and nothing more.

It's a struggle for me when you're not there,

I've tried to forget you, act like I don't care.

It hurts to think of you, so I've tried to forget,

I'm sorry that this was the fate that you've met.

They've dug up a grave just for you, my dear,

Now you don't have to live in pain and fear.

I miss you my love, I miss you with every breath,

It's been four months since your death.

Fear not, I'll remember you every single day,

And those who killed you, I promise, will pay.
