Poem 38

It's really cold and I can't feel a thing,

All I felt was the cold air's sting.

No one was there and it was night,

There wasn't even an animal in sight.

So I just did nothing but wait,

But no one came by, the air was filled with hate.

I stood there eyes fixated on the ground,

Looked everywhere but no one to be found.

The only friend I had was this dark,

As I swung on the swing, alone in the park.

Earlier seeing people, laugh, smile, and grin,

How are they doing that, where have they been?

I admire those who know how to smile,

But smiling, laughing, and having fun isn't my style.

I used to be happy like them  long ago,

But things changed as I began to grow.
