Poem 112

555 33 2

I don't need the materialistic things,

I don't need diamonds, dresses, or rings.

I don't need any fancy car, or house,

I don't need a big garden, or rich spouse.

I want to dive into my head and be at peace,

I want to stop crying and just be at ease.

I want to feel a feeling, so hard to explain,

I want to smile, ear to ear, and rid of this pain.

You will no longer be in control of me,

You will no longer tell me who and what to be.

You will no longer make me feel glum,

I will no longer dance to the beat of your drum.
