Poem 87

I tried to be better, I tried to be best,

I tried to speak everything off my chest.

I couldn't put it into words and it hurt me,

I smiled and laughed it off so you couldn't see.

I don't know how to talk about the things I feel,

I know what these feelings are, and they're real.

They're feelings that you don't want to share,

Because no one would understand nor care.

It hurts us and it makes us cry till we're asleep,

Sometimes it drives us to take a huge leap.

Our eyes form ponds, rivers, lakes, and oceans,

We hurt, we frown, and cry from these emotions.

Someone, anyone, just please apprehend,

Cure their sadness, before they put it to an end.
