Chapter 6
I was warm, peaceful, content, happy, until somebody decided to destroy that for me. While i was lost in 'dreamland', Dan decided to shake me awake as the train had stopped. We had arrived. To be completely honest, i didn't really mind waking up to his bright brown eyes and adorable smile but thats besides the point. He still woke me up when he should've just, carried me or something.
I had quickly got up, checking for dribble marks and sleep crust before gathering my stuff and sprinting out onto the platform, as there was a very impatient train attendant giving me the evils.
I followed Dan out of the train station, only to be greeted by masses of people, rushing around the crowded streets. Vehicles were packed against eachother, their horns blaring at the hands of the angry drivers. I stepped closer to Dan, feeling more exposed and vulnerable than I ever had. He turned to me, chuckling at how I clung to his back, a desperate cry for safety from the bustling London streets.
"Come on let's go, we can grab a taxi from over here." He said to me, before grabbing onto my hand and pulling me through the crowds. I didn't even look where we were going, my eyes were glued to our conjoined hands. They fitted so well together, it felt so warm and.. right.
He opened a taxi door and pulled me into the backseat while he told the driver the location and put the suitcases in the boot. He clambered in with me and sat staring out of the window. He didn't even bother to make conversation. He just stared into the distance, deep in thought, eyebrows scrunched together, his teeth chewing in his lip ring. I sighed and stared out of my own window, wishing none of this had happened. I had been pretty content with my life so this wasn't something i exactly wanted to 'embrace'. I got so lost in my thoughts, I hadn't even noticed when the taxi came to a stop until my door was opened and Dan stood there smiling down at me.
"You coming or you just gonna sit there?" he asked, shrugging his shoulders at me.
I nodded and got out of the car to see a large abandoned warehouse. I raised my eyebrows at Dan and he returned it with a roll of his eyes.
"Just wait until you see the inside." He told me, leading me towards the front door. Once we reached the large double doors, Dan placed his finger on the doorbell, a small green light scanning his fingerprint before a clicking sound echoed through the wood. Dan looked at me and winked before he opened the door and stepped aside so I could enter first.
