Chapter 13
Dragon Island
When I teleported, I found myself right next to dragon. I felt my heart racing and slowly backed away. The dragon, however, wasn't going to give up on it's prey so easily. It snorted and flames flew out of it's two nostrils. The red scales on the dragon rose and it's fiery mane blazed in the dark sky. I swiftly cast a shield spell and ran for my life, soon I luckily found a small cave and wriggled through the small opening. I cast a light spell and it lit up the whole cave. It was empty. A small echo reached my ears and I jumped in fright. I heard a soft tinkle as something from my pocket fell to the cold floor. It was the bracelets. I put one on and I suddenly felt a fierce force pulling me deeper into the cave. I followed it, keeping my eyes pealed for anymore dragons. Eventually the force started to weaken, a sign that I was close. The force ended at a wooden door. It was weird what was a door doing deep inside a cave on the island of dragons? I held my breath as i pushed it open a crack. I peered through and caught sight of a girl who looked slightly like the woman who gave me the bracelets. This girl had ginger hair in a long plait down her back. Apart from that, she was practically a younger version if the woman. I knew at once this was Diana. The missing connection.
I crept in through the door and walked up to the girl. She was sitting on a throne of dragon scales. I shivered.
"What do you want?" she snarled, "Who are you? How did you get here?"
I remained silent for a while before answering, "I have a gift."
I walked up to her throne and presented her with the bracelet. She slipped it on and her eyes slammed shut. I became worried when she had closed her eyes for more than a whole minute. For some strange reason my pocket seemed to become hotter and hotter and looked inside and saw Diana and her mother talking. I smiled. Now I understood. I put the mirror away and waited. After a while, Diana woke up and she stared at me.
"Well what are we waiting for?" she smiled, calming me instantly, "Let's finish this war!"
"But how are we going to get back to the others?" I asked. I knew that if we were going by teleportation again the others would try to kill me.
"You forgot what island this is!" Diana laughed and she clapped her hands.
An emerald green dragon appeared and she jumped onto it's back before helping me up.
