Chapter 14

Kiss

I would admit that a dragon wasn't as fast as teleportation but I love it much more. When I was a young girl, before the war I had a pet horse. I named it flash and I loved it, but sometimes I used to wish it could fly.

We landed outside the cabin and Diana knocked on the door. Lyell answered it and grabbed me. Diana clicked her fingers and his shoes caught fire. He quickly let go of me to stomp it out.

"Who are you? What do you want?" he growled.

"Give him the mirror," Diana hissed at me.

I pulled it out of my pocket and handed it to him. He looked at it puzzled then looked into the mirror. I grew slightly worried as he stood staring into he mirror as if he was in a sort of trance. When he was conscious again, he pulled me into a stiff, awkward hug. I hugged him back. I slipped the mirror back into my pocket as he invited us in.

Theridol, Tear and Jade looked at me with despise. There face obviously asked, 'What is she doing here?'

Lyell took a deep breath before saying, "This is Fire. Or Midnight as she is now called."

The unchanged looks on their faces told me they didn't believe it. I handed Lyell the mirror and he gave it to them. They want into the same trance. When they came out of them, they all gave me a big hug and I felt a whole lot better.

"So did you find her the last connection?" Jade asked me, as she also mind messaged me a sorry.

"Yes, she's here," I said letting them meet Diana.

Jade looked at Diana and squealed. They had a long hug.

"I can't believe it's you!" Tear said.

"Me neither," Diana exclaimed.

It had been 1 hour since Midnight had rejoined the group and Diana and Tear were catching up with each other. I sat in the corner, lonely and feeling a little bit jealous as everyone crowded over Diana. When I felt like I could hardly take anymore, Lyell came over to me and sat down next to me. He waved his hand and a small ball of earth levitated above it. His face scrunched up in concentration as he sculpted a 3D love heart gem.

"For you he," he said, putting it in my hands.

I blushed and he smiled at me. I smiled back.

"Do you want to go for a walk outside?" he asked.

I nodded unable to speak from sheer shock.

We went outside and sat on the soft grass. We didn't speak we just stared up at the stars. After a few minutes of silence, Lyell and I whispered at the same time.

"I love you!"

We looked up at each other and giggled. Then Lyell lent forward and I did too. It was a kiss that I would never forget.
