Vanish

It had been two days since our romantic kiss under the stars. We were still staying in Eric's hut wondering what to do next. We were supposed to be the connection that would win the war but we still had no idea on how it would work. We all joined hands, unleashed our powers together but nothing worked.

I stood up and went outside for some fresh air. I had tried using the mirror but it seemed to stop working. I sat down on the slightly damp grass and pulled my cloak around me for warmth. Soon, I was lost in my thoughts and wondering how my sister was bearing without me. I pulled out my phone and typed a quick text,

'Hey xxx, Hope ur OK! I still miss u! Be good! :P

Sis xxx'

I sighed and stared onto the distance, watching a small white butterfly with blue spots fly from flower.

When Lyell came and sat down next to me, I looked at him and smiled. We kept our little kiss a secret, but Jade didn't tell me she could also mind read, so she knew about it and teased me a lot.

"What's wrong, sweet?" he asked softly.

I suddenly had a short flashback on Lyell's mum crossing the border. I shivered. It seemed to become even more colder. Some how the cold temperature seemed familiar and I abruptly remembered. The Shadow Soldiers. Then I saw them, they were surrounding us. Lyell saw them too and pulled me up. They were closing in on us now and I started to panic. There were people under the cloaks. People made from shadows. I felt my head cloud over with memories I didn't know about. I saw a young girl running in a field of white Lilly flowers and a small lion cub chasing after her playfully. A young boy being eaten by a huge blob. A black-wooled sheep being sheared. A crown. The same young girl wearing the crown. When the visions faded away, the shadow soldiers had vanished. So had Lyell.
