A crash sounded through the house and she heard the sound of glass shattering downstairs. Jenny Feynman jumped out of her chair and ran to the door, only to slip on the carpet and smack her lip on the desk. Jenny cried out in pain.
"Tommy! I hurt my lip!" She wailed, only to get no response. Her lip grew twice it's normal side and red blood slipped down her hand.
"Tommy!" Jenny yelled. Again, so response came, except for a female scream in this basement.
Jenny shot up and ran out the door, still holding her lip. She pushed open the basement door an quickly slipped down the steps, her pony tail bouncing as she went. She finally made it all the way down and she looked up and gasped- it didn't look good.
A girl she didn't recognise lie in a pile of glass and on top of the digitizer!! Jenny whipped her head at her brother's office chair and found him laying on the desk, breathing steadily. Jenny crept closer and found the girl bleeding in a few places from the glass, but was also breathing steadily. Running upstairs and then back to the basement, Jenny logged into Minecraft under her normal username- Monet113- and joined her brother's favorite server. She ran around a spider and began to Sprint toward a burning village in the distance.
"What is going on?" She asked quietly as she approached the broken wall. She saw a username glowing through a crowd of villagers and she pushed her way through.
"Tommy!" She screamed. Gameknight turned his head and she saw his jaw drop. What was his sister doing here?
"Gameknight, what's going on?! Some girl is unconscious in the basement and-" Jenny began, but Gameknight cut her off.
"Monet- bring her back with the digitizer right now." He said, his voice rising in panic, "She was just taken, and I need to get her out of here as soon as possible."
Jenny glared at him through the scream, but of course he couldn't see that. "Fine."
Jenny put down the laptop and went to pick up the digitizer, but the girl was laying on top of it. Pushing her to the side carefully, she reached forward to pick it up, but...
Jenny rushed back to the laptop. "Tommy!" She shrieked, tears beginning to run down her face. "Tommy!"
"Don't use real names online!" He hissed in annoyance. He took a breath. "What?"
Jenny took a breath and choked on her emotional mess. "The digitizer- it's been smashed to pieces!"
Gameknight stumbled back and leaned against the village wall, taking deep breaths. What was he going to do? If the digitizer was more than broken, smashed to bits, how could they get home? And Alex's friends, how would they get home and how did they get here in the first place?
"Jenny." Gameknight said, fear creeping into his voice, "Call Dad."
Jenny, tears still spilling down her face at possibly never seeing her brother again, nodded before disconnecting. Gameknight held his head and took deep breaths.
"Gameknight? What's going on?" Crafter asked, laying his hand on his friends arm. Gameknight looked up, his eyes misty.
"The digitizer- The gateway of light is broken, smashed." He said, shacking his head as his breaths began to quicken. A collective gasp came from the villagers around him- what did this mean?
"I- I can't go home unless my Dad can fix it- and he's at a wedding and won't be home for a while." Gameknight said, which was true, but that wasn't the issue.
"He sold his blue-prints to a company." Gameknight said quietly.
"And there's no getting them back."
