GUYS... I JUST REACHED.... A THOUSAND READS. DIEING INTERNALLY WITH HAPPINESS. I JUST RAN AROUND AND I THINK I SOUNDED THE HAPPIEST I'VE BEEN IN A WHILE SO THANK YOU. THANK A MILLION TIMES OVER. Also, for those of you who accuse me killing a ship- stop. I'm already killing myself, so don't add to it! To add to that, as thanks, what do you insane people want in return for support? Pick something and I will do it (probably).
Stitcher pushed the branches away as she walked into the mini clearing. Her ands Herder were in between to large mountains that branched over and made a connecting arch. The scene was breath taking with the late night fog floating through the area. Herder's pet wolf tried to catch clumps of the mist but would find, to his dismay, that he couldn't. A sudden boom in the distance shook the ground at their feet, causing Herder and Stitcher to quickly look at each other.
"Do you think...?" Herder asked. Stitcher shrugged.
"Maybe. Let's go check it out!" And with that the trio ran under the arch. A scream stopped them cold, causing them to freeze and look up.
This glow of torch light glowed through the mist, let Herder and Stitcher see the out line of four figures.
"What if they fall? What are those people doing up there?" Stitcher mumbled, pulling out a bucket of water. "Maybe it's some of the villagers; come on, let's pit water down in case they fall." Stitcher said.
Herder nodded and moved forward to follow her example, pulling out a bucket and dumping water below the cliff.
"NO!" Screamed a familiar voice, causing Stitcher to gasp.
"It's Hunter!" She said, looking up to two figures falling off the edge. The two figures screamed as they slipped into the fog and plummeted toward the ground.
...
Gameknight felt himself begin to fall into open air as he was pushed back. His arm flew forward to catch his balance when something grabbed his hand. Looking higher, he found himself staring at the face of Hunter, red curls bouncing around her head, her mouth forming the word 'no'. Suddenly gravity caught up and the two were pulled over the edge, screaming as they went.
As they tumbled through the air, Hunter gripped Gameknight's hand tighter, eliminating any chance of them slipping apart. Gameknight looked at Hunter in surprise and found her brown ones staring back. Gameknight held her gaze, refusing to look at the ground that seemed to be slowly approaching. Gameknight felt really weird inside; like really warm. The sun had started to rise while they fell, lighting up the whole world. Hunter gasped as she watched the sunrise- why we're they falling for so long? Gameknight noticed the light reflecting off of Hunter's hair and couldn't help but smile; she really did look-
Splash! Gameknight's train of thought was interrupted by the sudden cold surroundings. Struggling to breath, he drew in a sharp breath, only to find he had inhaled water. A sudden force pulled on his hand and Gameknight was jerked out of the water, coughing as he went. He felt someone pound on his back, trying to get the water out of his system, but all they were doing is making Gameknight choke more. A pair of arms wrapped around Gameknight's chest and squeezed, causing Gameknight to choke one last time before water flew out of his mouth. Gasping down air, Gameknight noticed Hunter was still holding his hand.
"Are you ok?" Hunter asked him, her knitted together in concern. Gameknight looked at her, then back at their entwined hands.
"Ahh..." Was his response. Hunter took the hint and looked down at her hand, before pulling away, her face as red as her hair. Gameknight realized his face was probably the same color. Giggles erupted from behind and they turned to find Herder and Stitcher trying not to laugh. Gameknight felt his face get hot with embarrassment.
"That... Never happened." Hunter said, storming out of the water. Gameknight followed by moving to the edge of the water before stepping out onto dry land. A breeze fluttered through the area, causing Gameknight and Hunter to shiver due to the water that clung to their skin. Stitcher and Herder continued to laugh.
"Come on! We need to focus!" Hunter snapped in annoyance. She looked Gameknight for help before blushing and turning away. Gameknight coughed to try to clear the weird feeling in his stomach. Another explosion shook the ground and the Gameknight and Hunter were saved from their embarrassment.
The group turned to look at each other before sprinting toward the sound, only to have a figure collapse in front of them.
...
Alex opened her eyes and quickly closed them as light flashed across her vision.
"Am I dead yet?" She wondered aloud, only to have breeze rustle a tree's leaves in return. Something small and soft nuzzled her side and Alex shot up in an instant, reaching for a sword that wasn't there. Alex found Carrot nuzzling her hand
Did anyone forget about him? Like, at all?
Alex grimaced as she stood up and scooped the pig into her arms, hugging him. Where was she?
Alex put Carrot down and looked at the trees around her, completely confused. Why we're they blocky? Did that make sense? Looking at Carrot, Alex tried to recall finding him, but her memory was blank.
"What in the world?" She mumbled. She felt like something was missing, which didn't make sense; was someone with here? Looking around, Alex only saw a square morning Sun shining brightly on the horizon. It sure was beautiful.
Suddenly Alex heard a splash of water a ways away and voices. Now alarmed, Alex reached into her inventory to find nothing. Did she have anything before? No, she thought, I suppose not.
Feeling something in her pocket, Alex found a small, wooden gadget that had little metal things inside, reaching in, she pulled one of the things inside to position and as axe took its place, causing Alex it drop it in surprise. The blade shone a grey-ish white, a certain metal here, is what Alex assumed. Picking it up carefully, Alex held it with both hands as she ran towards the noise, Carrot oinking behind her.
As she drew closer, the ground got harder to run on, but Alex kept running with persistence. Suddenly her foot caught something and she flew out of the merge of trees and onto soft grass, unfortunately taking a bite in the process. The voices had stopped as Alex spit out grass and stood up, the axe still held firmly in her hands. She turned to find herself face to face with a women with a large, bulbous nose and curly red hair. Alex jumped back in surprise and began swinging her axe, only o hit nothing but air.
"Alex? Wait- where's Diamond?" A voice asked. Alex frowned and tried to look behind the person in front of her.
"What?" She asked with a frown, still holding her axe in uncertainty.
"Not what; who. Where's DiamondCats?" The figure asked, stepping forward. Without looking, Alex swung her axe as hard as she could and heard the satisfying crunch of breaking materials.
"What was that for?!" The boy screamed angrily. Alex backed up, still not being able to see her attackers from the glare of the Sun.
"Who ever you are, get away from me!" Alex screamed, scrambling back while trying to wave her axe at them as a threat.
"What?- Alex, what are you talking about?" Said the strangely familiar voice. Alex tried to climb to her feet while still backing away.
"How do you know my name? WHO ARE YOU?!" Alex screamed as panic rushed in. The figure stepped forward cautiously, blocking the Sun and allowing her to see her attacker's face.
"Alex, it's me! Tommy!" He exclaimed, Alex gasping as everyone closed in.
