Chapter 14: Why me?

Chapter 14

Katniss P.O.V.

I stand in front of the mirror. Cold sweating.

I have hard to breath.

Each breath I take is like a stab in my throat.

Why?

Why did this had to happen to me?

I can't understand what I did to deserve this.

I see the razor blade. It's lying right in front of me. It's really tempting to just pick it up and get it over with.

I look in the mirror. I look myself in my eyes. I see that tears are creating.

What did I do to deserve this? I really don't know. Please can someone just tell me what I've done?

It knocks on the door.

"Kit? You in there?" I here Glimmer shout.

"Um... Yeah", I say, trying to keep my voice steady.

"Um... Uh... What are you doing?" She asks unsure, as if she knows what I'm doing.

Ugh. Can't they just leave me alone? They've been doing this ever since all of this started.

They act as if I'm a baby.

"You don't have to know", I snap, smashing my hand onto the sink.

I pick up the razor blade.

My hand is shaking.

Should I do this? Maybe I shouldn't. I don't know.

I put the blade to my wrist.

I keep it there. Steady. Hard.

Is it worth it? Should I do this?

The only thing I can think of is how my computer is gonna look like when I leave the bathroom.

"Girls!" Glimmer yells.

I hear banging on the door.

"Katniss don't do this! It's not worth it, it's gonna be alright, please just don't harm yourself, I beg of you!" Glimmer roars, banging hard on the door.

Who knew that she's able to such banging? It's really hard. Hah! All of that bag carrying of her cloths and shoes, must have made her strong.

She continues to bang on the door.

"Katniss don't!" I hear my cousin roar.

"Katniss we love you! We all love you, please come out and don't do what we think you're doing!" Annie roars.

"It's not worth it Katniss, don't let them have this kind off power over you!" Johanna roars.

It's not worth it? They love me? I'm not gonna let them have this kind off power over me?

Everything is spinning in my head. I don't know what to do. What am I gonna do?

Why did this had to happen in first place?

I remember that day as if it was just a few hours ago.

As I walk to my locker I see them.

Delly and her minions.

What the hell are they doing here? Plutarch told me that they were going to be expelled.

My breath stops and I get a lump in my throat.
