You never thought that you would be breaking into one of the most important buildings in England's history, next after Buckingham Palace and the Parliament, yet here you were on your way through the knee high water in the boat outlet into the Tower of London. This place has before in history been the home to the King of England, later a prison. At this time it was headquarter of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. Rumours had been going around, that Starrick's people had been replacing the royal guards bit by bit and thrown the constable in a cell. If you were lucky you could find some of the remaining guards that could help you get through the place and get to Lucy Thorne without spilling too much blood. This was Evie you were with, not Jacob.

You waited in the dark until a crew of five marching guards passed you. It was the escort for the keys that should lock the place off for the night as they had done it for 600 years. As soon they had passed you two, you ran to the nearest tower and shot out the gripping hooks and pulled yourself up in tree solid jumps.

"So far so good." You said to Evie who was scouting out in the dark. She was scanning the area the way only assassins could do it. You took your liberty to look down at the marching guards with the beefeater in the middle holding the key. They stopped in front of a gate where another guard stopped them, pointing a gun towards them.

"Hold! Who comes there?" The man shouted.

"The keys!" The beefeater answered quickly.

"Who's keys?"

"Queen Victoria's keys!" The beefeater answered and the guard lowered his weapon and let them through the gate. Even though you were there to assassinate a dangerous woman, it was interesting to see this ceremony for yourself. Not many could say that they had witnessed that.

"There." Said Evie suddenly and pointed at the Keep, also known as the white tower. It looked like a small medieval castle in the middle of the whole construction. White walls with four small towers.

"Of course she's in the most guarded building of them all." You sighed.

"The constable is locked up in the Waterloo Barracks over there. Maybe we should run around and get him out first. He can identify which men are under him and which is under Starrick." Evie pointed to the barracks farthest away from where you stood.

"Sounds like a plan." You said and you both hid your heads in the hoods before jumping to the next roof. The area was big and it took some time to climb from roof to roof until you reached the other side. You looked at each your side of the barrack to see if there was a way in. On the backside of the building that was facing the outer wall, was a single guard standing on a balcony. He was obviously on a break and was having a smoke. Without saying anything you jumped down behind him and gripped around his neck. He struggles for a bit but went out pretty quick. He wasn't dead but you had a good amount of time to do your job, before he woke up again with the worst headache he would ever experience.

"Impressive, miss y/l/n." Evie said and jumped down next to you. You both walked into the office room and further out in the barracks. You took guards out one by one until you found one with the key for the cell door. The constable was kicking the door and kept shouting, so he wasn't hard to find and at the same time a damn good distraction to the guards. It didn't take long for you to get him out and explain your situation.

"You still have some men in the towers, right?" You asked the constable. He was an older bearded man, still wearing his black uniform.

"I do believe some of them are still on my side of this." He said while raising his chest with a curtain pride.

"Can you find them and make them help us? We need to get into the white tower."

"I know every single of the posts my men should be at in this very moment, miss. I will do my best." He said stepping back like a real military man and walked out.
