Deception

Breaking The Pack Bond...

 Months Ago:

"Break it!"

"Where's Stiles?"

"We will kill you all, if you do not break it!"

"Derek, where is my son?!" 

Derek couldn't believe this was happening, he hadn't really thought that the sorcerer had been serious. All they needed to do was leave behind Stiles, it was the most logical thing to do, whether they liked it or not, Stiles was the weak link. 

Their pack would not survive with him continuing to endanger the pack, with them always coming to his rescue. It was the most sensible thing to do, what would protect his pack. 

But Stiles is pack, a small voice echoed inside his head. 

Derek ignored it. 

But despite ignoring it, he also acknowledged it. The bond between Stiles, him and the pack was as real as ever and he had intended to break it, no matter what the Lord had told him. The pack bond was incredibly important and Derek wouldn't just break it because some supernatural Lord told him to do so. 

Thats what he had thought anyway. 

Derek had thought things would go back to normal or as normal as things could get with them being werewolves and all. 

But... 

Now it seemed it was catching up with him. 

He was trapped. 

His pack caught. 

Four sorcerous where in-front of him, threatening to kill his pack members if he did not break the pack bond with Stiles. 

"We will kill you all, if you do not break it!"

"You haven't broken it yet?" Erica growled, eyes flashing with anger. She was being held in the air by an invisible force. Her wind pipe slowly being cut of, great, she was going to die because of that human?! 

Scott had thought he had broken it as well. He was on the ground, dagger at his throat. 

"But-but you told the Sheriff..."

"I lied" Derek said coldly. 

No, he couldn't think of Stiles father right now, that expression when they had come home, without Stiles. 

His expression. 

"Where is Stiles? Derek, where is my son?!"

He just looked at Stiles father and couldn't bring himself to tell him what had really happened. But he had thought the least he could do was make sure the Sheriff could start a new life without his son, by telling him their pack bond was broken so they had no more connection to Stiles, seemed to keep the Sheriff of their backs. 

"Why haven't you broken it!" Isaac snapped, he was tied down. 

"You should listen to your beta's Alpha" One of the sorcerous sneered. 

"You...don't understand" Derek said shakily. 

"What don't we understand?" Boyd asked but far more calmly, despite he was being threatened of being burned alive by another sorcerer. 

Derek took a couple of minutes to answer. 

"Stiles...is still a part of our pack. I'm not sure how but his become an important piece in our dynamic. It will take years for us to feel right as a pack again after breaking that bond. And...he was right, it will be incredibly painful"

Derek closed his eyes. 

"I was hoping" He murmured "That they had forgotten about that promise"

"Our Lord never forgets. Decide now alpha, your pack or that pack bond with the human" A sorcerer growled, tightening their hold on some of the beta's. 

I'm sorry Stiles. 

Sorry for everything...

Well, we will be paying for it soon Derek thought bitterly. 

His eyes flared red before he closed his eyes, thinking of Stiles, searching for him. 

In his head the bonds where strings, tying him to his pack. The strings where all solid and strong with his betas but the one with Stiles... 

It was already fading and looked almost ghost like. 

The string looked taught and for some strange reason Derek could feel pain shivering from the string. Stiles was in pain... 

It must be deep pain for Stiles pack bond  to be reacting to it Derek thought. 

But he forced himself to ignore it. 

This wasn't about Stiles. 

This was about his pack and he needed to save them.

Derek grabbed the string, his and the pack's bond to Stiles. Stiles would not feel this but they as hell would. 

He hesitated but... 

He pulled. 

Derek was surprised thats all it had took .

SNAP. 

Then...there was the Lords voice... 

"He won't feel it that much but you? The wolves instincts take pack bonding most seriously, it'll be one of the most painful experiences in your life little wolf" 

Then all Derek and the pack knew was pure agony.
