Stiles frowned at Deatons question, to be honest he had been expecting something different."Quite a lot, why?"
"The pack was damaged once they broke your pack bond. It's something that is never meant to happen that's why it hurts the pack so much when they break it. You know how it affected them, don't you?"
Stiles didn't respond for a second before saying shortly "I do"
"But despite that, despite knowing how much it affected them, that the pack can never be fully whole again, you're not here to fix the pack bond, are you?" Deaton said, his voice grim.
Stiles face hardened as he replied "If I decide they deserve it. I might help them fix it"
"And if they don't?"
"Well then, they're just going to have to live with that hole inside their chests, filling up with regret and twisting nightmares for the rest of their lives then, aren't they?"
Deaton eyed Stiles for a second then he stepped closer to him, straightening up and said coldly and protectively "What do you plan to do with them?"
Stiles gave a disbelieving scoff.
"What makes you think I'm here for them? My father-"
"That's not true though, is it Stiles? That was just another lie you told them. You're not here for your father"
Stiles studied Deaton for a second, his voice emotionless as he said "You're making an awful lot of assumptions here"
He crossed his arms, staring hard at Deaton.
"And if what you say if true, what do you assume I'm here for?"
Deaton let out a sigh, he rubbed his face suddenly looking tired but his eyes were alert and dark.
"I know you have something planned, that's why you are lying to them"
Stiles changed his posture, looking more relaxed, leaning with his hand against the table and he suddenly looked amused as he said almost challengingly but not with much bite "Who said anything about lying?"
Deaton then stood closer to Stiles, they were face to face. The Druids eyes narrowed.
"I almost forgot. It didn't occur to me at first because I had put it up so long ago"
Deaton took a breath in sharply because continuing, his voice filled with tension.
"I know you are lying Stiles because years ago I put a number of rituals around this place and certain anti supernatural formula's. One of them keeps out Sorcerous. Think of it like mountain Ash but specifically for Sorcerous. I know you are lying because it keeps out Sorcerous and Elites but...it doesn't keep out Lords, does it Stiles?"
Deaton stared at him hard as he then added "You walked right through, without even noticing it..."
Stiles didn't react at first then slowly his eyes flickered gold and he smiled sarcastically.
The room suddenly felt full. Like there was a crowd inside instead of just two people.
"You figured it out, good for you"
"You don't sound that surprised"
"I wasn't exactly being subtle about it, you know?"
"No, you weren't" Deaton agreed but then something in Stiles tone and his eyes caught his attention. Deaton tensed slightly.
"You want them to figure it out?"
Stiles gave him a look that screamed thank you captain obvious.
His eyes narrowed.
None of this made any sense.
"Stiles, just what exactly do you have planned?!"
Stiles chuckled.
"Come on Druid, it be no fun if I told you"
As he spoke Stiles flicked his wrist and with a golden spark jumping from his hand, a cup with water in it appeared out of no where.
Deaton watched it fascinated but also with a uneasy feeling in his stomach.
Stiles picked it casually, drinking from it.
No...no elite could make something appear out of thin air like that. Deaton hadn't even been aware that this was something Lords could do. Though small it did showcase how much power Stiles held right now.
"If you plan to hurt them, I'll.." Deaton said protectively, thinking it was logical that Stiles would want to take revenge. Especially if what Derek told him about Stiles being tortured for six months was true.
Please say no, please just disagree! Deaton thought shakily.
But to Deatons dread Stiles didn't deny it...
"You'll what? What can you do?" The Sorcerer asked instead. His voice turning more malicious and darker.
He put his drink down, taking his time. Looking Deaton straight in the eyes as he asked "Well?"
The Druid wasn't stupid enough to respond. He knew... he knew he was completely out of his league here.
"That what I thought" Stiles sneered when Deaton stayed silent.
He just stared at Stiles, dread circulating in his stomach.
Stiles just smiled coldly. Eyes glinting dangerously.
"Relax Druid, I won't hurt them...much"
