Destroy the Shadow beings, that's all Stiles had to do yet three days after their meeting the pack had not heard a word from Stiles.

Then the next attack, four causalities had Derek once again at Stiles house. This time, taking into account he'd woken up with no memory when he'd contributed Stiles last time Derek decided to approach differently.

Knock!

Knock!

The door opened and the Sheriff was standing there. Looking at him, surprised.

"Is Stiles there?" He was expecting the Sheriff to tell him that Stiles didn't want to him there but instead...

The Sheriff's eyes widened slightly as he said "I thought he was with you!"

Both men stared at each other for a second.

Derek gritted his teeth together as Stiles father started go slightly red in the face after realising he'd been lied too.

"And where exactly did Stiles say we'd be?" He asked, feeling like he was being messed with. As if Stiles was behind a bush somewhere laughing at their confusion.

The Sheriff suddenly went from red to like he had seen a ghost.

"He...said you were all meeting him by a tree stump"

Derek let out a growl of frustration but also of shock.

The Nemeton?

What did Stiles want with that?

"You didn't think that was suspicious?!"

The Sheriff did look ashamed, he sighed "I was happy to have him back, I didn't think about asking where he was going every day"

Everyday? Stiles had gone out to the Nemeton everyday since he'd gotten here?

Derek seriously wanted to shout WHAT? In the Sheriffs face though held himself back but instead he gathered himself and said with strained politeness.

"We'll find Stiles, don't worry. Thank you for telling me"

The Sheriff nodded, looking more relaxed at Derek's words. The pack would find him, they would help.

Stiles father watched Derek leave, he wondered eyes narrowing slightly, was this part of Stiles plans?

Derek quickly phoned the pack, expression turning grim.

There was a uneasy feeling spreading throughout his body.

Scott picked up, sounding alert, he knew Derek only phoned in emergencies.

"Get the pack together, meet me in the woods. We have a problem!"

"Problem? What problem?!"

"Stiles"  Derek growled.

He heard a sharp take of breath inwards on the other side.

"You sure?"

"Like it or not but his supernatural, like us. Now tell me Scott, when has a supernatural ever wanted to use the Nemeton for good purposes?!"

"Alright, alright, I'll call everyone" His beta sighed then hanging up.

Derek made a run for the forest. He knew there was a reason that Stiles must have wanted to be here, maybe it was just a trap? Or maybe Stiles was just drawn to the Nemeton, like they all were, it was wishful thinking, Derek knew that.

But despite his suspicion towards Stiles.

He didn't want Stiles to be the enemy.

Not like this anyway.

He couldn't-he couldn't just be another villain they had to stop and save Beacon Hills from, right? Right?

Derek knew Stiles had changed a lot since they had...left him there.

But not enough to do something like this? Not enough to try and use the Nemeton for his own needs?

Was that really why he was here? Why Stiles had come?

It wasn't for them.

For his father.

For the Shadow Beings.

It was for the Nemeton.

Derek tried to stop these thoughts from overcoming him but it was difficult to suppress them, difficult to believe that Stiles was here for a good reason.

He slowed to the stop at the woods edge and waited for his pack there.

They only were a few minutes until they all showed, warily eyeing the woods. They came in here often but not for this, not for that dreaded tree stump that had caused them so many problems over the years.

But it was time to see what Stiles was really up to...

"Okay" Derek said, looking at everyone in his pack.

"Follow me"
