Stiles raised his eyebrows at Scott, crossing his arms, looking expectedly at him.
The Sheriff frowned, confused at the exchange.
"Would this be better to explain inside?"
Before Stiles could respond the Sheriff walked back into his house, gesturing them to follow.
Stiles aloud Scott in reluctantly but when Isaac stepped forward Stiles gave the pack a look that screamed going inside would be very bad idea for their health.
Stiles and Scott walked inside the living room. Scott glanced at Stiles who hadn't said a word since he'd spoken to him. He was looking around, his face looking a little pale. It was so strange seeing Stiles like this.
"It'll be fine" Scott murmured.
"I don't think I asked you" Stiles growled, glaring at Scott.
"I was trying to-" Scott muttered anxiously.
"Don't, it's far to late for that" Stiles hissed back.
His expression hardening. He was not going to do this now. Not in front of his father. So he let out a breath, trying to calm himself down as they sat down on the couch on the living room under the Sheriffs merry "Sit down you two"
Oblivious to the tension between Stiles and Scott.
The Sheriff asked them if he'd like something to drink, they both refused. He sat opposite them, pulling out a chair.
His eyes full of worry.
"Now we can talk properly. What happened you two?"
Stiles leaned backwards into the chair. His elbow on the arm rest as he turned to look at Scott.
"So would you like to tell my father what happened?" Stiles asked but with completely fake sweetness to his voice.
Scott started at him, face flushing red with embarrassment but then didn't he deserve this? Though it was a pity the rest of the pack weren't here with him. He wondered where exactly the Sheriff kept his guns, he expected to be shot any time soon.
"Well, I...we..." Scott stammered. It was just so hard to spit out the truth, yet it had been so easy to give the Sheriff that lie and now he was paying for it.
Scott couldn't meet the Sheriff's eyes, he looked down as he said quietly "We lied to you about what happened to Stiles"
The Sheriff looked confused, shaking his head slightly "What do you mean Scott?"
Scott opened his mouth, his heart squeezing. Ready to blurt out the truth but suddenly Stiles stood up, turning away. Hands clenching angrily.
Stiles answered for him.
"He left me, they left me there" Stiles turned to face his father, his eyes were glowing a furious gold.
"I wasn't kidnapped dad! They abandoned me!"
There where no windows open but a wind started to blow, twisting around Stiles, reacting to his emotions.
The Sheriff stared at Stiles then slowly turned to Scott.
"Is this true?"
Scott looked at Stiles furious expression then to the Sheriff's solemn gaze and he knew he couldn't deny this.
"Yes...It's true" Scott said quietly. Scott's throat caught, he closed his eyes, trying to stop them but he couldn't stop the tears.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!"
"Far to late Scotty" Stiles spat out. The objects in the room began to tremble. Something electrifying in the air.
"Stiles!" His father said, looking around hurriedly.
CRASH!
Everything stopped and Stiles jerked in surprise as cup fell from side in the kitchen.
Stiles cursed under his breath.
The Sheriff looked at Stiles then back at Scott who had tensed and was looking at Stiles warily.
"I think you should go Scott" The Sheriff said grimly.
Scott looked at him, head snapping towards him, guilt clear to see on his face.
"I-"
"Didn't you hear him? He asked you to leave" Stiles growled.
"Stiles" His father said in a warning voice. He turned to Scott again but this time his expression was softer "I don't really know how to take what you've told me. I'm not sure what to think but I think I'd have a clearer head without being worried about you both being at each other's throats, especially that you now both have something that could ruin my house"
Scott relaxed a little at that. Stiles had the sense to look slightly sheepish, glancing at the broken cup.
"Okay" Scott sighed, standing upwards. Stiles watched him get up and leave.
Before he did Scott seemed to want to say something to Stiles but he decided against it as Stiles looked like he was more than happy to gut Scott if he stayed any longer.
Stiles watched Scott leave.
Good riddance he thought as he heard the door shut.
The Sheriff watched as Stiles tensed frame relaxed as Scott left.
His father moved closer to him, standing up as well. They soon were face to face.
The Sheriff startled a little as he realised that Stiles was actually now taller than him.
But he still reached out and put his hand on his sons cheek, rubbing away a lone tear.
"Son, what happened?" He asked.
Stiles stared at his father in the eyes. He had missed him so much.
His father noticed the gold that now tinted Stiles light hazel eyes. He drank his son in. It had been so long.
Stiles closed his eyes for a couple of seconds. Not being able to stop the tears that leaked out.
"Son?" The Sheriff asked gently.
That was it...
That's all that was needed.
And Stiles told him everything.
